i can't defend kasiano, intent or not if you kick your legs out, you're responsible if they connect

could be anywhere from 1-4 weeks for me, alot will depend on loading/carry over, not sure on his most recent record, i'm sure he would have thrown a careless charge in somewhere you'd think

re parker, i really can't stand how self righteous he can be, always has to make the moment bigger and let the whole world know bad the actions were of the other player, never mind the guy just what 6 weeks ago dropped an elbow on the head of teddy with pretty obvious force.

i've got no doubt we'll hear more corey as well, he likes go on and on in these circumstances

    yeah i agree mate

it reminded me of the slater one - except kasiano did it to hurt someone where as slater did it to "protect himself".

This is what annoys me greatly about Parker. He's like a feminazi. It's alright for him to do something bad but he's holier than thou.

@pieman Yeah I get what you're saying mate. I was playing a game and a guy elbowed me in the back of the head twice with a bit of force and then came over the top with a punch to the lip. After the game I smiled and shook his hand and he came into the sheds after and bought me a beer for the way it was handled. I can see why people get bitter about it and don't fault them for it on the field but when the whistle blows you either accept the apology or stay out of the media.

    What was actually said

"He's got a size 15 boot and I wore it fair in the kisser," Parker told the Triple M call team.

"He said he was sorry but what does that mean now? Have a look at my head."

Asked if he thought Kasiano knew he was there, Parker said: "No question. Of course he knew I was there."

Brisbane coach Wayne Bennett was also unimpressed with Kasiano’s actions.

"If he didn't kick with force, Corey wouldn't be in there getting stitches now," he said.

How the courier mail reports it:

It’s just cuts: Parker says kick to face part of footy
COREY Parker has downplayed getting kicked in the face by Bulldog Sam Kasiano, claiming it is all part of rugby league.

Hope he's washed the sand out of his mangina.

    yeah fair enough mate.
If someone ever accidently head highed me, or got me in the balls, or accidentally kneed or whatever and they seemed remorseful - was more than happy to have a beer leave it on the field.

If someone did something on purpose to me tho, fuck them, they shouldnt be playing footy if they want to eg. (and this happened to me last year) - chase you down after you kick the ball and elbow you in the back of the head because they think they are tough. 100% fuck them, they are thugs and they are the same kind of blokes who will glass someone or coward punch someone after they have had a skinful.

Based on the charge sheet, I'm going to say Dangerous contact - Head/Neck

    EDIT:

Quick google search gave me Forearm to the head of Gareth Widdop Sept. 12th 2015

Grading looks right to me. I will also add that in the next set when the Broncos were fired up and trying to smash the Dogs in defence, the big cat, who was the biggest guy on the field by about 20kg decided to let his winger and other forwards take the hit ups instead.

For mine the charge isn't really correct. I would have thought he should be charged with striking rather than dangerous contact but hasn't been because it would be harder for them to prove.

certainly did happen like that, was disappointed to see him not hit it up but not completely surprised

guys like jackson, klemmer and graham all took it up knowing they would get belted. for all their size and skill, kasiano and trez can often shy away in those circumstances.

jackson is our smallest forward and was the first guy to put his hand up and be a lamb, half the size of the other 2 but you'd never see them do the same

happy he is back for the finals tho because for everything i don't like about kas, its pretty clear the stuff he does in the 30 mins on the field is the only thing keeping us competitive at times

I hope the Sportal awards get done again this year, my vote for least biased will probably be a result of this discussion.

they probably didn't want to give us a chance to beat it on a technicality and look like fools (again)

Yep spot on. I don't think Jackson is the best player in the world, but gee he's tough. Kudos to Rona as well. He probably had his toughest game in the NRL in terms of dropped balls and bad passes, but he kept putting his hand up to do some tough stuff. I think he was the first to take a hit up after the Kasiano incident as well. I am surprised he wasn't suspended for touching the ref though. When he got a penalty for the Blair strip after 67 minutes when he was pushed back a few metres and they went on with it a bit, after Blair was going back to the defensive line he chested his way past the ref to have a few more words. I thought he'd get cited for sure.

Edit: Here's the video and it shows up at about 1:26:30 in the video. You can't see from that video angle if contact was made but I was sitting square on and it seemed pretty clear he did.

I have no idea what results in a suspension for ref contact. That was way worse than Frizzell. Maybe because of the uproar with Frizz they've taken a step back but they need to communicate it.

"After review we've decided that incidental contact with referees will not result in a charge, however an form of aggression will come under review"

It would be great if they do something like that. Guys getting done for incidental contact is a little silly but I'd like to see suspensions for guys that get in the ref's face yelling and carrying on, it's a tough enough job without the rubbish that they cop from some players. I'm as quick as anyone to complain about the power that Smith has over them but it's human nature to be a little biased towards someone who treats you with a bit of respect instead of yelling in your face every chance they get.

Oh mate 100% - like anything, if someone knocked on your front door and said their car broke down, were really nice and friendly and asked to use your phone you might help them. If someone knocked like a douche and demanded to use your phone you'd tell em to get fucked.

How does one knock on a door like a douche? Is it Sheldon style knocking or a particular rythmic pattern?

Probably good for everyone concerned that Kas didn't take a hit up in the next set. Josh McGuire was in nearly every tackle, and wanted a piece of someone. Anyone would have done.

And knowing how the red mist descends on him, I'm 99% positive he would have kicked off something stupid!!
