Is Sizzler open on Christmas day?

In other news, since not being selected for Australia, Josh Morris has since joined league one superstar team Scunthorpe United (GO THE MIGHTY IRON!) and is currently leading the scoring charts.

Also, one of the Iron's forward's has a name strikingly similar to my own. I am pretty sure he is my evil twin (at 12 years younger than me hahaha)

Surprised a young pup like you can remember a Broncos premiership considering they have only been as successful as Cowboys, Souths, Sharks, Tigers, Bulldogs, Knights, Panthers, Storm & Dragons this century. Massive under achievement in anyone's books, even Gee's. Being a "one horse town" with the kind of TPA's they attract dismal failure, certain. You must rely on Fox sports reruns for memories ?

Yup, I've seen us be unsuccessful the last decade. I've also seen us make the finals 23 out of 28 years in existence. Watched us pump the tigers by 50-0 on two separate occasions (93 & 99). The lack of a premiership ring is like an annoying little itch in comparison to our general level of achievement for me.

Fuck it's an annoying itch tho.

Am yet to find a decent fish market in Brisbane. Would love to have something like the Sydney Fish market up here.

Oh wait... were you talking about fish or illegal immigrants?

Who wants to cook and clean on Christmas day.

Serious question: You don't have fish markets ? Never lived there so it didn't occur to me.

Cleveland and Redlands have some decent fish mongers and seafood markets, nowhere even remotely close to the level of Sydney and Melbourne tho

Pretty sure there is one up round Redcliffe / Scarborough and another one at Dutton Park but I get my Seafood through a bloke who has his own shop. Prices are cheaper then places like Coles/Woolies etc and the quality is always top notch. Moreton Bay Bugs are the best Ive tasted anywhere.

    This.

Grew up in Coffs Harbour where we used to get all our seafood fresh off the boat so won't settle for anything less in quality.

Moreton Bay Bugs at the Hilton are probably the second best I've tasted anywhere in Brisbane.

Go to the lighthouse seafood next time you're over Cleveland way Bren, that may change your opinion on second.

How much are bugs over there nowadays?  Hard to find a legit Moreton Bay Bug over here for less than $70 a kilo.

Can't remember what I paid last year but from memory it was around $35-$40 a kg for the large bugs. Will let you know how much they are this year when I place my order.

    I miss NZ seafood.
I have found some restaurants in Melbourne that sell "Fresh NZ Snapper!" as if its some kind of fucking delicacy. Though really I guess it is over here. Expensive AF though and no way in hell its fresh if its from NZ.

Can't wait for a fish off the boat in December with the old man and we'll hopefully grab half a dozen for dinner one night.

Yeah no, ain't agreeing with that one. I've had both and while Balmain bugs are a bit bigger meaning more meat, Moreton ones are a bit sweeter and softer
