Interesting to see the Premiership Drought club.

    Broncos - 10 years.
    Tigers - 11 years.
    Bulldogs - 12 years.
    Panthers - 13 years.
    Knights - 15 years.
    Warriors - 21 years.
    Raiders - 22 years.
    Eels - 30 years.

Of that group I can only really see the Panthers and Raiders ending their drought in the next 2 or 3 years.

For you Broncos fans, when does it become too long since winning your last premiership?

As a Knights fan, if we can win one instead the next ten years I would be rapped but I really don't see that happening. Especially not in the next 5 years.

Baby steps Honeysett, baby steps. Your lot just "won" two wooden spoons in a row. If your team won a Premiership within the next 5 years as the club currently stands it would be a modern day miracle akin to the resurrection of Jesus. Your team could win a Premiership in the years 2024-2026 but I for one would be surprised.

As for when the Broncos will win another Premiership? Who knows? Our window is still open and will remain open for the next few years especially if Ben Hunt stays at the club. If we haven't won a Premiership by 2020 then we have clearly missed the window.

You basically just took what I said and reworded it, haha.

So if that were to happen that would leave you with 14 years without a premiership, which I think would drop you down from heavyweight powerhouse.

I know what you're saying and you're right. I'm just thinking of all the times Matty Johns took the piss out of him this year, calling him The Original Pharaoh of Fumbles and Ben Bombaroy.

    haha yeh, thats great.
Personally, I dont ever recall him having glaringly shit hands, i reckon SKD has worse hands than he would have.
Not that I payed much attention to pomeroy in particular, but as I said before he played 170 NRL games then 60 odd more in the superleague, so the bloke is obviously a quality rugby league player.

Thats where you would always fall down pieman, blindly following stats without 'paying much attention'.
Goong back to beale, when we signed him i was so annoyed, clearly just a gap-fill player and just hung around in the squad, never once taking the game by the scruff of the neck let alone doing anything of note. Highly overrated and living off the past/rep once gained.
Ayshord floats around in between these guys somewhere, for those that want to discuss another

I reckon Covell was worse than Pomeroy. Guy looked like he was running on a treadmill while stuck in mud.

IF we're talking about average players, I still don't know how Logan Swann got selected over and over for the Warriors.

then you've got players like Gene Ngamu, John Kirwan who was only in the team to put bums on seats and was as hopeless as Marc Ellis was.

Then there was Lauaki who was a fucking disaster and pretty much played a full two seasons for us.

I can't believe you guys are saying Pomeroy and Beale aren't quality players when guys like these played so many games.

To be fair, stuck in the mud is an awesome game.
Played that recently at a "kids party" themed party. Fucking awesome fun when you're half cut diving between peoples legs hahaha.

When you were checking about the WCC did you read that the Melbourne Storm withdrew stating it would interrupt their pre-season and that the only other top 8 side that put their hand up to partake was the Broncos. Oh you missed that part? Yeah that's what I thought.

Did you miss the part where he was calling the Broncos delusional for participating in something that was meant for the top 2 teams?

Your butthurt outweighed your ability to take the joke. Therefore No Worries baited the hook perfectly.

Nah you both missed my point. Im not joking around here. The Broncos are filling in for the Storm in turn promoting their global brand even further without making a GF. Genius.

Also if it is only for the GF teams like you suggest then why has the Minor Premiership winner from previous years also been included in the WCC? Since the Minor Premiers this year were the Storm and they were in the GF it would make sense to include another top 8 side like the Broncos. Either way I think its great for the Broncos and the NRL that we are partaking again. Will no doubt improve the TV audience with all the Broncos fans watching.

They're doing so to make money, because they have no won a GF in ten years so they don't have the windfall that comes with a premiership victory. Therefore they need to look at other avenues to make money and this is one of them. Smart short time business but potentially at the cost of long time success. Taking your whole team to the other side of the world before the season for a Mickey Mouse competition isn't wise I don't think. That's why successful teams like the Storm have said no.

Again, you weren't minor premiers either. You're only going because the better teams have said no.
