So assuming. You guys win next week, which you should comfortably, how do you rate your chances against the Eels in week 3. I personally I'm nervous at the matchup given we touched you up both times this year but think Bennet and the Broncos are finals hardened, where it is the first campaign for most Eels players.

If the Eels win this weekend the second coming of Jesus can't be too far off, as that would be a divine miracle.code delta wrote:^ what if the Eels win this weekend??

That is what I was saying, if the Eels had've won we would have met Broncos in week 3. To to be now, so we will see if we meet in the GF. If we play like today, where nobody expected us Tom even get close to the storm, we are as good a chance as the Roosters, Sharks and Cowboys to get through.
Broncos have to go through the storm now after they account for either Manly or Penrith at home, which they should do comfortably.

It's not just this thread it is the entire forum. Fantasy season has finished so most people won't be back until the season kicks off again. It is only the true hardcore Fantasy Fanatics who have stuck around who play the finals footy match games. Unless this was an attempt to bait certain Broncos supporters then carry on..

It's quiet because we're kinda fucked in 2 weeks time.

ifyou think we're fucked in two weeks time, winning on the weekend would've just meant we were fucked in 3 weeks time, gunna be honest, i'd rather face the no.1 team in an elimination semi-final rather than a grand, at least if we find out we're aren't good enough, it's a softer blow to take.

We were fucked 6 weeks ago when we lost FAC. Didnt stand a chance without Boyd aswell.

You'd seriously rather lose a week before the GF not the GF. Wow!

Both should have been an easy cover given the rep talent in your squad.
I'm still not ruling out a Brisbane upset. Eels got within two and though Storm might talk about it being the wake up they needed, they are gonna look at a Broncos team twice beaten by the Eels and think they'd are home. IF Broncos get past Panthers, which they should easily, then I think they can ambush the storm.

The incumbent Australian fullback and FAC should be easy to cover when we don't have a legitimate second fullback or hooker not named Travis in the squad. That'll do me.

Depth gets sacrificed when you spend big money on name players.
I thought Kodi Nik was meant to be a superstar in waiting?

Still can't fathom the difference in defensive performance over the last two weeks. Went from "brick wall" to "barn door wide open" in 1 sitting.
Hopefully that's a Boyd-fixable issue, or we're looking at Mad Monday celebrations quicker than expected.
Is TPJ available this week?

Absolutely, but theres no use in pretending that sacrificing depth never happened and that a team can just lose the Australian fullback and not expect to lose performance just because we provide half the QLD origin second row.
KNik is a superstar in waiting - but not at Fullback or as an 80min Hooker. He's only a little fella.

Boyd 50-50 apparently. So either he will or he won't I hate when teams say that

Its a Boyd-fixable issue.
Everytime the Roosters walked through was because Glenn, Gillette, Blair or Milf were out of position and the chooks strode through a sloppy tackle. With Boyd at FB, he field-generals those gaps into closing.
