Does Bennett value depth at a club?

Yeah I have no idea what Roberts was doing when Mitchell Rekked him..
Will be interesting to see whether Mitchell gets picked in the Aus team at the end of the year too.

Fuck oath i would, it's not like Tennis where you get more prize-money the further in you get, at the end of your season you either win the premiership or you don't and screw going through a week of hype and build-up if it means having to watch your team's players slumped to the turf with the opponents colours raining down in confetti while they're raising the trophy.

Absolutely, but theres no use in pretending that sacrificing depth never happened and that a team can just lose the Australian fullback and not expect to lose performance just because we provide half the QLD origin second row.
KNik is a superstar in waiting - but not at Fullback or as an 80min Hooker. He's only a little fella.
So that's 1 ?

Its a Boyd-fixable issue.
Everytime the Roosters walked through was because Glenn, Gillette, Blair or Milf were out of position and the chooks strode through a sloppy tackle. With Boyd at FB, he field-generals those gaps into closing.
Isn't that Locky's job ?

Thaiday and his fat guts off the bench count for 2, so thats 3/7 second rowers from 2017. Close enough to half.

The incumbent Australian fullback and FAC should be easy to cover when we don't have a legitimate second fullback or hooker not named Travis in the squad. That'll do me.
You don't have a current Kiwi centre who has played multiple times for his country at FB? And if you didn't, he wouldn't be considered suitable cover (not equal, but certainly suitable cover) That will certainly do me
As for FAC, Hunt has won you more game in the 9 this year being the key influence that FAC, he kept you in that game also with his solo try.

Wow, honestly, I find that's super strange and mildly retarded. It's like saying "faaark, I don't want my team to make the 8, what if we get knocked out in the first week and the team that beats us celebrates".
Seriously everyone, is it just me or just Surmon that is semi-fucked up here?
Would you rather make the GF or lose the week before at the risk of losing the GF?

Nah Surmo deadset on the money mate.
I'd rather the Broncos just had the whole next season off actually....then if they don't happen to win the comp, I won't have to get all sad and upset.

your question was if i would rather lose a semi-final or a grand final, and i gave my answer, I've never had to take an off-season sabbatical from anything and everything NRL in an effort to get over a semi-final loss, i can't say the same about a grand final loss, but cheers for skipping civil discourse and making a bee-line for called me retarded and fucked-up over a difference of opinion about rugby league, especially when i don't think you understood the context of my original statement -
Of course i want to make the grand final, but i'd much prefer making it feeling like we've got a good shot to win the damn thing, which is why i don't mind facing the Storm early, If we lose the game, it's dissapointing, but at the end of the day we weren't good enough to win the premiership, no amount of luncheons and footy show appearances would've changed that, but if we manage to somehow knock over the immovable object, i'd back us to carry that self-confidence right through whoever lines up against us on GF day.

Sorry, I did say retarded and and semi fucked up, but honestly I didn't mean that in a harsh personal way so my apologies there. It was more and exclamation point on my amazement on your position, which you are entitled to, I'm just personally amazed by it and find it...ummmmm......strange I guess, preferring to see your team lose in a semi as opposed to win a semi and lose a gf, seriously, I don't get it,but was interested to hear from others if your position was odd or mine was, as I genuinely wasn't sure, and thought I might have been missing something about the thrill of seeing a team play in a GF, even if it does result in a loss, which obviously isn't what anyone wants.
We lost to the Storm this week, so given we likely will have to beat them to win the GF, would I rather lose next week or the week after knowing a victory against the Storm for the Eels is even less likely for us....hell no, I want a shot at the GF, because regardless of what has happened before, you are 0% chance if you aren't in the game. I'll take a GF loss over a Semi-Final loss every day.
Again, genuine apology for the language.

Firstly, he's not a fullback. Secondly, he's a Kiwi. Lets not pretend that being the second choice Kiwi fullback is a huge feather in his cap. I'm as Kiwi as Barnaby Joyce and I think I'm 6th in line.
Is Kahu "suitable" cover for Boyd, in finals football? No. Round 13 almost meaningless game - sure, he's ok cover. Going from having the Australian fullback to the worst fullback of the 8 (now 6) teams still alive in the most important club games played in 2017 so far is not "suitable cover".
Hunt for FAC is a close swap but it's still a step down.

If we are going to have serious conversations can we change FAC's name to UFAC = "unlikely"

I like how THAT was what made it a non-serious conversation, not the idea of me being 6th in line for the NZ #1 jersey.
I faced 1 haka in my life, in non contact sport, and almost shit myself. I don't think I'm cut out for it.

I would say Will Smith is the worst fullback - would take Kahu at FB over him every single day of the week.
Kahu is the logical option to put at FB who has played there semi recently. That injury must be stopping them from doing it. Milf is the best option tho, but you wouldnt really move him unless you absolutely had to (and it might be at that stage). Mead and Niko are not up to it.
And with Hunt, its actually a step up in attack but step down in defence.

You reckon? Will Smith has played the house down the last month.

Kahu, who IS a rep centre, who has played for his club and country as a FB is not a more suitable replacement for Boyd than Dylan Edwards or Will Smith, possibly even Gordon. Right? Slater clearly better, And Coote wouldn't be a certainty in everyone's eyes to jump Kahu in the Kiwi pecking order if he was Joyce's brother. The point was, you had a serviceable cover in Those positions and plenty of rep players across the park, that should pick up the slack, something some other teams remaining don't have.

Forgot about Milk also,
1. Milford
6. Marshall
7. Nikorima
9. Hunt
Plenty of teams would be happy with that as there spine with other rep players in the pack and three quarters.
