Well been a while since Scott's played first grade and Blair hasn't done anything to warrant losing his spot. Scott would have to have really, really impressed at training to suddenly usurp him.

Scott was Injured the whole back end of the season, nope Blair hasn't but Scott is probably just seen as the better player

Looks like the Nona dream has died. Conservative Mary will probably start with McCrone or Mann over Field as well.

    Good lad!

how is the team coming along?

Good mate mostly happy with it. People have me worried about my Hess pick but if Faufusi gets Proctors spot seems like an easy downgrade. I really didn't think Kromwich was suited to it so I guess we'll see. If Faufusi does get the nod will he get dpp? I agree also that Kelly, Scott or others could easily score as well as say Whare or other lower tier options which is why I'll probs go cheap in my centres - although will still have Smat in 2rf and Turbo out the back to mitigate if it all goes pear shaped at centre.

does this mean scott gets the nod over blair? seems like a strong starting 13. very hopeful of this happening
also a poor omen for croft if they would prefer to keep munster in the halves despite this injury cloud over slater

Blair is a solid first grader and did a job last year, probably better than expected, but Scott is a player for the future and has that X factor on attack. With the full year ahead I think Bellamy knows Scott will produce more come finals time than steady as she goes Blair. I see him ahead of Blair and a favourite of Bellamy.

With finucane injured and racing the clock to be back in time for round 1 KBrom is obviously in the 13 for now. But I think both of them are traps ( Kaufusi and KBrom) with a shared second row job and KBrom prob spending 15 through lock. Not much money to be made there.

Also croft is a like for like replacement for Cronk. I vaguely recall Cronk saying their game plan fits a running five eighth and that croft playing 6 might not fit that mould. I think it's just as likely tonumaipea plays 1 with Munster 6 than Munster 1 and croft 6, and if Munster has to be 1 then it's prob just as likely scott goes to 6 and Blair to centre to have a running 5/8.

    Just my opinion nothing concrete.

Looks like every1s teams are going to start shaping up pretty similar. Everything hinges on whether people go with Cameron king or not. Then to Fifita or not?

Probably the position where the most difference will be is the halves. I'm still not set on this and probably won't be until well after TLT. Trials this week will be very interesting

Very similar to my current set up. It seems you are trying have both King and Elgey as an option for 17th man rather than having to play both whilst still fitting in your preferred POD's and guns which is exactly where I am at. I'll let you know when I figure it out! Smile

I'm least interested in Gutho probably becuase of his price which is risky. dpp helps though and if goal kicking could go ok but like you i have norman who I think will very much dominate and could also potentially goal kick i'm told
