So let me get this straight. K. Edwards got charged for assault because he sprayed water from a water bottle over his ex when they were arguing. So he never hit her, pushed her or laid a finger on her. So is water now a deadly weapon. This sounds odd to me.

He started the last trial at prop. They may just be because Lussick is injured and a couple other prop options were underdone.
But a little too much risk for me.

Which could make him a nice pickup when Lussick returns later and a cow/mid ranger has matured

    ET vs Kromwich

I am starting to think there's not quite the point of starting with ET after all. Will he make enough cash to be useful as an upgrade? I'm not sure. Will he be someone I want in my team at the end of the year? I don't think so.

Would I be better off going Kromwich and upgrading elsewhere? It's 70k saved but I would be losing points with Kromwich. Can't see him hitting consistent 50s...

ET is slightly undervalued but really I'm picking him based on a feeling than stats. I think with a full pre-season at the Tigers they'll make better use of his ball-playing skills and he can rack up some extra line break and try assists.

He played 15 games in the 2nd row - averaged 42.7
7 games at centre  averaged 26.4

    Priced at 37.5

Aidan Guerra actually got moved around even more
    13 games at lock/2nd row - averaged 48.8
    8 games at centre/five-eighth/interchange - averaged 36

    Priced at 43.9

Don't know if I am recommending picking Maubs, Guerra or neither. But with SST gone there is a spot in the 2nd row eitehr one is about 5 point underrpriced

I have Maubbs in both comps. Solid proven mid ranger with DPP. I feel Matterson will end up at centre before him.

Maubbs also a very handsome man.

I took ET out of my team as well last week. I have a feeling he could improve, but objectively his numbers don't look as good as I thought they would. TLT will help.

I put ET in this morning but only in my reshuffle and because he is the best at that price range. I think he'll spend a lot of minutes on the park, and yeah a full preseason, he could be a big part of a lot of what the team do. Can't really downgrade elsewhere to upgrade him. Maubbs though is tempting me and I've never picked him before or even thought about picking him before.

dont know if its been mentioned but Whitehead training left centre for Raiders. Wacko just tweeted it but noticed its been getting discussed on the greenhouse for the last few days. not sure it really affects anyone's teams.

Not sure what I want to do yet. I have a nuffie in thete at the moment. After TLT he may go back in. Or I might run with an extra half instead of 5 second rowers.

Means more for Turner/Cotric selectors maybe. Although does it change anything for Soliola? I honestly thought he would end up at Centre before Whitehead.

Just have to wait for team lists.

As SI said, the flow on effects for Turner/Cotric and maybe Soliola are probably more interesting than the move for Whitehead himself.

I know ET is a favourite on here but I just don't see the attraction. He plays 65-70 mins (av 63 mins in 2016) & you just know at some stage JT will use him at hooker where he scores virtually no points. Ballin & Liddle are both injured & McIllwrick will likely start the season. I know Ballin is in line to be on the bench for round 1 but how long does he last. There's just too much uncertainty with ET. For example we refrain from picking someone like T. Harris because we know if there's an injury in the backs he'll play in the backs. Why is ET any different with his potential to go to hooker. Like you Filth I'd much rather start with K-Brom/Afoa (if Bodene is out for a while).

    ET is priced at 42.2

Ignore the games he played for Penrith last year, and the game he went off injured after 14 minutes and he averaged 47.8.  That includes the 2 games he started at hooker, and any time he moved there mid game. If he manages to stay full time lock he easily has 50 points in him.

KBrom is probably going to score better relative to his price (assuming he starts 2nd row) but will score less points in an absolute sense - so it all depends on on the rest of your team makeup.

If you don't want ET because you are worried about job security in his preferred position, then I don't know how you can go Afoa. Unless i see good evidence he is preferred to a fit Hoffman/Bodene I just couldn't trust him.

Would love Whitehead to be named at CTR = DPP goodness and wouldnt have to wait 4 weeks like we were teased by Tohu Harris last year.

Valentine Holmes to miss round 1 and Tautau Moga possibly displacing Kahu at left centre.

People going Afoa to me is pretty bloody crazy. He was impressive in the trial indeed but don't see him holding his spot. A couple of games on the bench and his price goes down anyway.
