Cant see much changing really , would be worried about his job security too.

The difference between brailey and cash cows in other positions.

Normally 2nd hooker would be a scoring position. So by having Brailey there I am giving up a slot in my 17 that would normally be used by a 50+ point scorer. If Brailey sputters as a cash cow then it is a waste of a valuable scoring position.

6th second rowereor 3rd/4th centre are not a slot I would normally use on a scorer so i do not cost myself anything by using those slots on a cash cow.
ohhhh....I see..., you're concerned about the risk of the position, and the consequence would be 2 trades.

I guess ultimately it depends where we view Brailey's points and money making potential when compared to a 2RF/HLF of the same value. I'm not one to include a CTR or FBW in my scoring reserves. So unless a more promising HOK/FRF/2RF/HLF reveals themselves, I struggle to exclude Brailey from my squad.

I have had Brailey sitting there all day which allowed me to get Gal, but in all honesty I just cant see either being in my squad come Thursday night kick off, I dont like it - I just dont like it!

It's the fact that in your post origin team that spot has to have a gun in it and if Brailey fails you have to find 4-500k to upgrade him. If he was your 6th 2rf or 4th centre if you wanted to you could just cop it as a waste and never even bother trading them out.
I don't think anyone is trying to talk you out of him just explaining that a dud 2nd hooker has a huge knock on effect to the rest of your squad as they HAVE to be upgraded at some point and that cash has to come from somewhere.

Guess it makes sense for bird to stay at CTR (From a team point of view anyway)

I looked at him a few weeks back. he is priced under his 80min avg by 6 points. so if you think he can have a similar output to his time at the rabbits, there is value.
he might also be a good pick during origin with pearces selection (or if you think pearce will get filmed doing naughty things with animals)

i then looked at hastings scores when paired with pearce and it was only 2 games but they were both around 20 points. so that put me off.
it depends on his role really, i can see him scurrying for a few tries. but, i think im going to stick with lamb (who i also want to get rid of for a 300k forward) but then i elgey becomes my number 2

Played 5 games at lock over the past 2 years. Averaged 44.4 (and 75 minutes)

    Priced at 43.9

He tends to score better as a wide player.

    Can't argue with stats!

However only 5 games. Who knows. POD for me anyway, at least right now.

He wouldn't be the black widow if he didn't have that tempting siren call.

I think Dylan Walker is my premium centre of choice. But maybe in the next 48 hours maubbs will find a way to slide into my team

It is a small sample size

But just nailing down a starting spot should see him increase in value. His price is lowered this year to several crappy bench performances last season.

With Keary, I think the valid comparison is full games at half playing along side Adam Reynolds (who kicks the ball) compared to Cody Walker (who doesn't kick the ball)

Average with ARey - 30 (from 4 games) small sample size but lower than his priced average
Average with Cody Walker - 39.5 (6 games)

I think comparing his games with Arey is a better sample than his games with Walker.

Also, I would not be surprised is Connor Watson gets the starting role before the end of the season.

I actually like Fifita + Talakai more as I am not sold on Walker entirely. However I think Elijah Taylor has potential to be a must have this season if he gets solid minutes and isn't slotted into HOK during games.

Who is your captain with 2?

By itself I think its better than 1. Better job security and more reliable scoring. But Fifita is a better captain than everyone but Smith so you might cost yourself points by not having him
