    Also another quandry

    Lamb and Mannering

    or

    Maloney and Surgess

Really like Maloney as a POD this year but would rather Mannering. Can't trim the money elsewhere to turn Surgess into Mannering unless I turn Kaufusi into a nuffie and I'm high on him too for this year.

I'm thinking doing the same with Gurgess.

If the rationale for Gurgess dip in fantasy form from previous years was that he was playing injured, surely him being left out due to injury/fitness doesn't bode well for this year.

I've dropped him for that reason. The logic seemed to be if he is back to full fitness he could get back to being a 50 point guy. But if he is still plagued by ongoing injuries (as at least one report suggested and his #20 jumper suggests) then it would stand to reason he continues on at ~30 pg and should no longer be considered "undervalued"

Seems like a big risk to hold him at this stage anyway.

Always like Hodkinson and if he's healthy he can go better than his price for sure. Knights probably going to be doing a lot of kicking out of their own end and I don't see Lamb just taking all the kicking metres for them.

Plus the captain now so will want to lead from the front I guess.

    It's tempting.

Personally I rate JDB as the best value in that price range so he is definitely in my team.

I rate Surgess and Gallen higher than Mannering so one of them will be in my team. Probably can't afford both, so definitely no room for Mannering

Will have to wait and upgrade when the chance comes

Yeah I agree don't see Gurgess at this point as a guy to hold on to with the mind to save a trade ala Holmes where he's probably only out one week. The Gurgess picture doesn't seem clear enough to me at this point that I'd want to invest.

-Pick players who only have job security for 2-3 weeks
-Too many mid pricers where every season only a few come off

    So true

Add to that. Make too many trades every week for weeks.

    That's to come

I feel like I will end up just going with all 3 of the budding storm backrowers... K Brom, F. kaufusi and Stimson and just sort out the one or two I don't need with near-term trades

So far I have Kaufusi and KBrom. And a whole lot of grey rectangles with some text in them, should go alright.

Moses and Kelly as halves is very PODlike

I wish you could add players to your team and go over the cap (But still be incomplete of course), so you could see how much you need to trim to get your ideal team.

Fair points. Damn, more team mangling needed.

Granville averaged 61 minutes last year.

Kostjasyn (avg 37 mins if you exclude his games in the halves) and Granville spent a lot of time on the field together last year.  That might not happen with Hampton and Granville, but it will be more likely to reduce hampton's minutes than increase Granville's

Granville might get some extra time on the field, build up to 70+ minute hooker. In which case he would probably be 5-10 points under priced. but I don't see him doing that regularly enough

Appreciate the insight as always. Despite the backup rotation issues will stick with what I know with Macca or Farah backing up Cam

MAtagi is a trap IMO. He always starts well at new clubs, then falls flat. This is what, his 4th club in 3 years?
