Sorry lads, a bit of a re-post, but can someone give me the rundown on:
    Yates
    &
    Elliot

Job security, projected minutes, class of player etc?

I thought that too, but Mannering is a proven 80 minute player, and there is really no reason why he would do that.

Kearney will base his pack around an 80 minute Mannering I reckon!

Yates is expected to only play around 20-25 mins. Handy DPP. Probably needs injuries to get the mins required but he's a player that has been talked about alot in Knights circles in pre season.

Elliot - the dogs pack is stacked, and with four forwards on the bench, not sure how he sees enough minutes to be relevant.

    Definitely option two.

I don't see any reason to pick Sio and B. Lawrence we know can average 40-45 points if he is getting minutes and he seems to be back in Barretts good books, and injury clear.

I would say the reason to do it is so the bloke can go through a season without being exhausted, particularly if they actually want to play finals footy.

Not sure it is what will happen, but that would be a pretty good reason to. The guy has gone through a huge workload in recent years, not to mention the stress of running with that lot.

Also affords some of the younger guys some time on the field.

But they need to get into a position where they can afford to let Mannering off the field first.

The bloke is capable of some 70+ point games so definitely could make the cash to make a jump to another gun.

I'm torn over Brailey vs Macca 2nd HOK. Macca definitely means no Fifi and what about McG or Kodi at some stage spelling him?

HOK: I am not sold on McCullough as he could easily be rested. However if he plays the 80 minutes it makes him an underpriced pick up which is nice.

FRF: H. Ese'ese potentially flops and is a slow burn/wasted spot all year. However that is a risk with so little cashcows with possibilities available. I like the D. Saifiti pick up as he already has a decent average and has upside without any real risk associated with him.

2RF: M. Ma'u seems like a strange option. Priced more than guys like K. Bromwich, E. Taylor and I don't think there is much of a reason to believe he is going to score better this year after playing 80 minutes all of last year.

HLF: Really strong, Higano could be out of the side come Week 3? (Forans return date.) So he may not make enough cash to warrant a pick up.

CTR: Moga does seem to have trap written all over him at this stage, but if he gets a prolonged run there he could be a nice option.

WFB: A little risky as you may end up relying on a Knights FB and Uate to fill a role in your 17 every week for the foreseeable future. Which is a somewhat scary prospect.

Going to ask again real quickly.

    Option 1:
    E. Taylor + J. Maloney

    Option 2:
    C. Sironen + C. Norman

Then we have my second issue, to Cam or not to Cam. (Note: Captain choices are currently Fifita, de Belin, S. Burgess)

    Option 1:
    P. Gallen + J. Brailey/K. Pritchard

    Option 2:
    C. McInnes + S. Talakai

1 thing I always come back to each year is that new role edge second rowers playing 80 make the quickest money, not middle forwards with anticipated bigger roles.

e.g Sironen, SMat, Kaufusi(so cheap and looks like going from 27 mins to 55-60 at least), Kbrom (could be 80 on the edge)

    Is there anyone else?

    Frankenstein won't get the minutes
Bunty Afoa is short term due to Bthompson
Suaso Sue probably won't see 80 mins with Aloiai/Chee Kam on bench

Is Moeroa worth a shot this year? apparently put on 3-4kgs and fitter than ever. High workrate defensively plus can break tackles on an edge.

Need a Frf or 2rf to fill a npr position. Got 143k and already have Yates. Need some tips. Have Papali but not sure what the go is with Mataulino's return schedule.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Stone - that way you've got your bases covered when either he or Yates gets dropped. They probably won't score well, but you're hedging your bets in case one of them turns into a major cash cow.
