2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 13

Sitting pat this week. Only real options are possibly sideways JWH to Wallace trade or doing something radical with ET and Klemmer to get in JDB. On reflection think it's worth waiting. Will also hold Phythian waiting for a more appealing cow than Burns (unless he's starting fullback). Novel position, banking trades.

In the WAGs league however there are *loads* of trading options.

Will Bunty be inline for 80 with Mannering out for a bit?

Which guns that underperformed in round 1 do use think will actually drop out of gun status this year altogether

With Bodene there I'm not sure what happens. I didn't see the game either. I don't think anything definite on Mannering has been released as yet. If Mannering is out then Gavet is probably the first man onto the bench with Lisone starting in the middle?

Think Farah is on the decline but he was on the decline when he met Jason Taylor

Downgrade Daifiti to a 138k frf,  leaving McGuire and Kaufusi in my front row? That will allow me to bank the cash to use towards the Brailey situation if and when it arises.

Or downgrade Daifiti to Wallace leaving less cash in the bank but better scorers by being able to play Kaufusi as a reserve and not have to rely on someone in the backs as a reserve.

Thoughts?

Wait is that confirmed? Don't have the cash to go to JDB unless I were to stupidly downgrade someone before they've peaked so all I could do is go under.

I'm thinking the Saifiti to Wallace trade myself. I have Musgrove and Kaufusi so could do the cashout option also. Both are solid ideas.

I thought Gubb was impressive. Haven't looked at his score or minutes yet, but he definitely made a solid impact in the game. Though his running style seemed to look at little Martin Lang-esque...

I thought I read here in a previous post that Mannering was ok for round 2. Afoa benefitted from the Luke injury as Bodene played hooker so Afoa might be on the bench this week. I really wanted Afoa in my team but didn't as he was going to be benched when Bodene was fit.

Gubb = 43 points/45 mins but he went to lock when Mannering went off.

I didn't watch the game either, just read mannering was injured and time frame was indefinite. Source is NEL.com Casualty Ward.

Last year Cody Walker was originally going to play round 1 and disappear, but injuries kept him around for a while.

Maybe this Afoa might be the same. And for anyone that took the gamble on him it might pay off.

I have previously bagged Hoffman on many occasions but I thought yesterday was his best game for the Warriors since he signed for them. I thought he really stood up & played extremely well.
