The $10k Sione lost this week is the amount I'm short to upgrade him to Bodene.

Although I am trying to figure out when is a good time to bring TPJ in. I love the way he plays and is waiting to become a fantasy beast. Even with his 20 odd minutes off the bench, he's generally getting enough points to compete against some edge fwds. and at mid 200K, he's got some good value if he can pull the extra minutes come origin time.

Ah makes sense. Was wondering why everyone wanted to rush in TPJ after a massive score of 28 form the bench

Thinking that the Brailey to McInnes trade might not be as urgent as first thought and thinking about using a chunk of my war chest. If Lamb is out;
Lamb -> Walker
Moga/Talakai -> Slater
Hmm.......

So - for the week ahead:
- If Ryan James goes for two weeks on the shoulder charge, I'm looking to downgrade to Vaughan. Whilst I know you don't trade out guns, but two weeks of that much cash doing nothing will hurt, and I didn't like the looks of him pulling up lame with a possible back issue at the end of the game.
- That Panthers guy. I'll look to find some space for him for the downgrade option to fund some HOK or 2RF upgrades, but I can't figure out who gets the cut. I've got Adam Elliot as the most likely, but that only secures about 30K. The rest of the cows still have some coin to make. Hmmmm.
- could go TPG for French via SMAT and Cotric. But should probably keep the rd 12 players.
Even with these compromising downgrades, I will struggle to fund both of the obvious Brailey and Whitehead upgrades. Geez I need to rack up some money...

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 24
As a Pearce owner, I found it interesting to hear tonight that Daley is essentially considering Pete Wallace or Farah for the 9.
Not going to consider playing an out of position player. Meaning you'd feel ripped off if you were Arey or Maloney if Pearce was walked back in after all the fuss last year about needing stability in the spine. I can see ARey missing out for Pearce, but I'm surprised they won't consider Pearce at 9.
Of course I hope he misses out all together, but I don't see that happening.

Everyone looking at trading in Whitehead and also Bromwich, Bodene.
But I think Fifita will be very tempting in 1-2 weeks. Origin a bit of a downer, but if he scores poorly this week he'll probably dip below $500k.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 24
Happy for any thoughts:
HOK: Smith, (Brailey)
FRF: James, Wallace, (Hoare, Yates)
2RF: Surgess, Faufusi, JDB, (S.Mata'utia, Elliot, SMat)
HLF: Pearce, Lamb (Jacks, Field)
CTR: T.Trbo, Cotric (Idris, Kelly)
WFB: French, RTS, Slater (Hayne, Suli)
about 30K ITB
I'm looking at James>Vaughan and Elliot to CHN in order to build some funds for Brailey and Smat DPP swaps in the next week or two.

Won't happen. SOO is all about repeat sets. No one is better than Reynolds. He has proven that. In one game, Reynolds got more repeat sets than Pearce did in his entire SOO career. Reynolds played injured last week, and admitttedly was ordinary, but he was in the mix for man of the match the two previous games Souths won easily directly through his kicking game. The first round, he didn't play and they were flogged by the Tigers. He's not going anywhere unless injured, which is a good chance.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 24
Is SMat to AFB a sideways trade?
The less Knights the better unless his name is Yates
Or if Rabs is still about is Crichton worth a punt at his price with good byes and can score well??

Some newer faces. Either Booze, Pookus and/or Chewie

I still think SMat might turn out to be a keeper in the centres. Still averaging 40 for 80 min games he played in the second row, and was a certain to make 40s in his injury affected game. If he gets named at centre again I would definitely trade but I am happy to give him another shot if wearing jersey 11- could make his b/e easily this week. His only real concern is being moved to centre through injury mid game.
