I need a legit 17th man so that I don't have to put an (r) on Rennings or Moga or Elgey so yeah I'm thinking about gambling on JBrom this week. Can't afford anyone else.

Maybe Herman given TPJ is out and Bennett seems keen on running with a back on the bench. If he can avg 40 for 4 weeks that'll be ~80k. Dunno.

I have burned a lot of trades already, but I hope it is worth it now. I can't stop. This is my team as we speak unless I reverse this weeks trades.

Jacks to Niko & Siro to Crichton

    Smith / Pritchard
    Vaughan / Tolman / Brown / Hoare
    Surgess / DeBelin / Whitehead / Crichton / CHN / May
    Norman / Lamb / Niko / Frawley
    Walker / Sata'uita / Kelly / Talakai
    Holmes / Tuivasa-Sheck / Hayne / Cotric / Suli

Fairly happy except for the halves. I need to have someone take away my trade button for a few weeks at least.

Regardless of positional changes Knik averaged 14 tackles a game in those 5 QRL games. That is concerning

First thing I noticed with those stats too. This is first grade though, he knows he has to perform for the next few weeks. I think he'll give it his all.

I think this is a great question so I bumped it. Jacks has already made 123k. Instead of trying to keep the cash flowing with Niko or Frawley (who would then require an extra trade to trade out again), I am perfectly happy to trade him to a nuffie for the full 123k cashout (which could pretty much complete my team for the bye period with). Nu Brown seems like the obvious choice because he might get two big bye rounds as a bonus before I leave his spot to die off. If I could just get some definitives on him subbing for Maloney then I would make this trade today, but alas I just can't see me making the decision until round 12 when he is confirmed in the lineup as I don't want to be adding another red dot to my team going into the bye period.
This is what I am planning for Elgey - hold till 12, hope he doesn't lose more cash.

I had planned to but I think I might in the next week or 2 depending on my cash cows and how well he scores.
    His minutes are increasing

Its more that the opposition attack will try and target him. People see he's small and automatically think poor defender but IMO he's pretty good for his size. Spending a lot of time as our backup hooker has really helped his defense.

No suprises with Niko's zero missed tackles last game. He's always been a pretty solid defender when coming off the bench for the Broncs. He defends in the middle of the park and has no problems taking down big forwards

I tallied the stats from @Milchcow QRL pdfs. Do ineffective tackles count as missed because one game he made 14 tackles 3 missed 4 ineffective for a game score of 13

Scores were 32 30 13 28 66. I assume the last he played FB as someone mentioned as his 135m were over double any other game and he scored 2 tries with 5 TBs and 2 LBs. Very concerning

Nope, ineffective has no bearing on fantasy.

Ineffective is not the same as missed.

Ineffective is where the player offloads before tackle is completed
Missed is where the player breaks the tackle (or just touches you on the chest and runs away)

I've been monitoring Jbrom (BE:43) and Gurgess (BE:36) for a while now, neither have convinced me yet, even though I do see some improvement.

This round's performance will be key to my decision, they have almost bottomed out.

I like both their bye round schedules, I already have storm's KFaufusi in my front row who I currently rate higher than Jbrom on current fantasy form, so I'm leaning more towards the potential trade of Yates to Gurgess next week.

Gurgess got a nice negative write up this week, which might put some fire up his arse

    Gurgess bad form

One day i would love to see someone like Cam Smith in the 80th minute, storm up by 14, siren about to sound and both teams knackered, pick up the ball at dummy half and then 'chest touch' both markers 4 or 5 times while backing away until he finally boots it 40 metres down field over the dead ball line.
