Yes Orchid is the most expensive but still only $90 a night compared to $500 a night you would pay here for a similar hotel. I have actually changed anyway and I'm staying at bourbon St apartments fully contained unit for $63 a night and still have fully use of the orchid facilities.

I don't go over to be a tight arse like a lot of people I go over there to have the time of my life and enjoy myself and make the sure the locals and all the girls have a good time around me.

When you put expensive there in perspective to here or any where else around the world you live like a king.

An expensive beer is $2 maximum no matter where you go.

I love it no body judges you no lock out rules etc etc etc the list goes on how good it is over there.

I'm getting excited bring on February 2.

I only used the word "expensive" as a comparison to other areas around Angeles not other countries !

I agree that the Philippines is very cheap compared to Australia and that is the main reason why I live here now. I live in the Subic Bay area (about 1 hour from Angeles) and I live in a 3 bedroom house for $225AUD a month ($56 a week).

I have already been there and done all the things that you are about to do and I am sure you will have a great time.

Just remember a few basic things and you will be fine:
1. These people are NOT your friends, they see you as a walking ATM and will do almost anything to get your money.
2. If you are alone don't get too drunk.
3 Don't carry more money than you need when you go out.
4. Stay calm no matter what happens. If you get into a fight with a Filipino in about 30 seconds you will be fighting 3 or 4 of them and then if the police are called YOU will be guilty no matter what happened because the police know that the locals have no money and you do !
5. Keep your wallet and mobile phone safe because there are pick pockets around, especially gangs of young children who will surround you and distract you from the front while the ones behind you are taking your wallet and phone.
6. Be polite to everyone but don't trust anyone you don't know.
7. Always ask the price before you get a trike in Angeles because they WILL overcharge you, it's just a matter of by how much !

i am not trying to scare you, just giving you a heads up on some things you should know to ensure an enjoyable time.

Anyway, have a great vacation and if you want to let me know when you are in Angeles I might come up there and have a few beers with you !!

I have been to Pattaya beach in Thailand 3 times and this is my 4th Philippines trip.

I think I should be sweet mate but appreciate your thoughts.

So where are you located? I'll be in Angela's on the night of the 4th until leaving on the 18th.

It can be very difficult to tell that's for sure. Look for big hands and feet first. adams apples but even then hard sometimes so needs the feel test.

Ultimate League due to open late Jan/early Feb. Maybe we should start finalizing League entrants now so we can kick start drafting mid feb.

In the time it took to type and post the above comment you could have made a player selection. I think we need to introduce an 8 hour selection window. If you haven't selected a player within that time period your team automatically gets the next player on the list. If that player is someone like Josh Hodgson then so be it.

During the week will be different.

Just because some of you are impatient and obsessed with fantasy that much that you have some sort of pre conceived idea that the draft needs to be finished in 2 minutes doesnt mean everyone shares that sediment.

The draft is completed prior to the season starting and all that matters.

I hate drafting too early, wouldnt want my first round pick to do an acl in a trial because you were too obsessed with drafting in 5 minutes.

If it's going to be a long term draft again, as long as the clock doesnt run during night hours I don't mind how long the pick window is. Hopefully the 2 coming up from L2 can keep L1 running sharp, I think ours took an extra week on theirs last season.

I don't mind what ever suits everybody else. I will do my best to make my picks as quick as I can for people.

What exactly is this and can I have in if possible please?
