Also apparently Lolohea to Tigers and then Moses to get his early release to Parra (Fox Sports Article). I mean it kinda makes sense if true, play him in the halves this season till Reynolds gets there next year at which time you shift him to FB to replace Teddy. Not sure fantasy wise if its very helpful.

RTS Slater Hayne Suli Phythian
81k and 18 trades
Well they're both upgrade trades so why not? Might want to look at getting a bye friendly forward like Graham in for McGuire. Wayne likes to rest his Origin stars

Will be interesting for Norman's scores. I bought him in this week but can obviously reverse. Moses could be there next game potentially.

Yep I'll bring Graham in once he loses a bit of value next game which is pretty much certain given his high b/e

Crichton and Surgess will be a very similar price after their next game. Anyone considering the swap?

Nah, not for me MS, why would I trade out a guy scoring that well with good byes... Now Hess or ET on the other hand, different story

I have both for the byes. I've had Surgess from the start & he's been very average & not lived up to expectations & has 5 scores in the 40's this season out of 9 games.

Thoughts on SST??
Price has bottomed out and reasonable buy rounds.
Could be a potential cheapish keeper as his fitness improves? Potential cash maker at the very least?

I agree & he's another good option instead of Whitehead & Bodene in that price range.

He's on my hit list for round 12. Beast.

IIRC I had SST in my team last year thinking he'd be a keeper and he wasn't. I was low on trades and was stuck with him. I can't find 2016 fantasy stats to backup this claim so I could be just imagining it all.

OK, Just looked it up from the spreadsheet on page 1 and the last 9 games he had seven 40ish scores, one 60ish score and a 3 (injury)

I think you're spot on, unless my memory is playing the same tricks. I think he kind of hovered around the mid-high 40s for the most part. I was super low on cash last year so he was the best I could afford, and though he was solid I remember feeling disappointed I couldn't get someone else who was scoring around 10 points more.
Also last year he was the goal kicker, so unless he gets that back (Gordon has been well below his usual standard so it's not impossible), he might score even lower than last year.

He was a consistent solid 40-45 point player.

Also Liu is to come back in that side. He'll be getting more than Kane Evan's 20mins

Everyone loves SST from when he was available as a min price WFB.
Now that he is priced appropriately he is less desirable. Still gives good scores, with the occasional monster but a bit shy of keeper level

In saying that, you could jump on now and ride him up to a real keeper but his price might not even go any higher than 450k range anyway.

10 trades is fine if you can manage 16 or 17 in those other 2 bye rounds. By the time the bye rounds end there is simply not enough time and teams are too similar to make up bulk points. Your team is sitting close enough to have a decent crack at it. The one year I managed to go close to winning I attacked the bye rounds that others were avoiding. Based on what I have seen this year everyone is looking pretty poor for 17/18 so I would be aiming for a gun 17 in both those rounds, 15 or so in 12 and 15 along with 17 in all other rounds. This might mean a few sideways trades but no point coming out of the byes with 10 trades left and treading water for 6 weeks for a top 1000 finish. I would roll the dice burn those trades and try to win it all
This is so true... Bulk points are made in the early rounds and the Major Bye rounds...
Teams are already looking very similar

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 38
I'll say this about the bye rounds, you can truly get right up there at the top if you plan well enough for them. In 2015 I went bye round crazy and I got as high as 85 in overall during a very competitive time of the year. I finished in the top 400 at the end of the year AND I never once owned RTS or Cam Smith AND I carried James Maloney as a 3rd half all year.
However it all came crashing down when I ran out of trades and by years end I literally had to make do with Jake Marketo and Nathan Ross as part of my scoring 17 because I literally had nobody else left. I'd spent so much time buying mid-rangers like Tom Burgess and Alex Johnston for the byes who I then had to sell again.
This year I've really not gone to too much effort to plan for them because I've seen what a pointless endeavour it can be. I'll look to make a few trades to strengthen my team over those rounds but my objective for Fantasy is and always will be to rank as high as I possibly can using as many POD's as I can. I mean I already hardly get excited for RTS doing anything because everyone else rides his scores with you.
