Depends on what you project they will score moving forward and on whether you would be getting Teddy in at some point anyway?

I think particularly the later is important though. My plan for example is to bring Walker in now as I see him as the guy that can help maximise my bye round totals, and then bring Teddy in after 18 to maximise points in the run home.

But if its a choice of one or the other now and for the run home, then run the numbers mate - figure out what you think Teddy will average from here on, Walker the same, take into account the extra games/points Walker will contribute to your total over the bye period and then see if Teddy's higher projected points average will make up that difference in the last 7 rounds.

Yeah go hard mate, and good luck! That's a great ranking - you are well in it!

I played VTSD fantasy NFL last season for the first time and had no trades left for the last 3 rounds. Got lucky and fielded a gun team for each of those rounds and ended up 2nd and only a single TD away from 1st. Managed that without knowing about/using the captains loophole too.

You just gotta have a bit of luck, but certainly I don't think you can win this thing by playing safe at all. Gotta be smart, and gotta have the luck!

benji in over Niko (who has been reasonably solid in Hunts absense) doesn't make a lot of sense. apparently he played pretty poor in qld cup last week.

The next tweet says this; (I don't know how to copy tweet links so I ain't gonna try)

For those wondering, Hunt said Nikorima has been benched to provide more cover at 9 with McCullough in doubt.

Umm.....wouldn't Benji on the bench with Niko, Hunt and Macca starting make more sense. Then Benji comes on and Niko slots into hooker if Macca needs a rest.

And if it's cause Macca is in doubt, why name Niko on the bench anyway. Stupid.

    A) So is Nu Brown a good cash out for Milf if named? Should disappear after origin. Any idea how he scores at 80 min half?

    B) I have exact money for

    Milf>Nu Brown
    CHN>Gallen
    Suli>Cody

Normally would take this as sign but Suli has bye cover value still I have no FRF if Nate Brown doesn't play and could hold off till team list trade Milf out but Walker trade locks it in

C)Nathan Brown to Alvaro or Rochow for bye coverage? I've always wondered why Alvaro doesn't get a decent run.

Nu Brown and morts will be in the mix. Brown has gone missing from extended bench in recent times. Im picking one to be named to start and one a utility on the bench.

The only way Niko's benching makes sense is that he has been looking pretty gassed late in games so Bennett may look to Benji to take the brunt of the first 20mins and then Niko comes on.

Otherwise Bennett has officially gone senile

Niko has been good, why change a good thing.

Anyone see anything wrong with these trades, I have 23 left before trading:
    Smith - Friend
    Brown - Gallen
    Norman - SJ

    Thanks guys.

Ok Norman to SJ this week, I'd like Reynolds but Walker is my other half and I'll  be stuffed in rds 13 & 16. Brown also has to go but may need to downgrade CHN as I've only got 44k itb.

I already have Smith, Graham, Tolman, Surgess, Gallen, JDB, Chricton, McGuire and CHN.

    Any ideas?

Fuck, I just realised I need 3 trades in 13 too haha. Brailey to McInnes, then I wanted a gun like Lolo, but then my halves will be fucked and will have to run with Lamb and Frawley as Niko is done and I still have Norman.

Might have to bite the bullet and use a trade get rid of Norman this week for SJ, even though I don't really want to.

JReynolds still a few weeks away hey? Might just roll the dice with Lamb and Frawley and hope Reynolds is not fit by then.

Maybe bennett is playing benji so we'll get flogged and he can whinge the broncos get treated poorly at origin period.

I got the impression the only reason Hunt didn't play last week was that they were happy with how Niko was going in halves. Hunt would have played if it was a big/must win game.

If there is doubt on Macca I'd rather just carry Waddell as a utility/backup.

Nothing spectacular - $1000 I think. Now that we know about the C loophole I reckon we (my bro in law both run the team) can have a pretty good crack at it next year

    2nd and 3rd got $250.

Better than a kick in the teeth but more about personal satisfaction that anything. And its entertainment too!!

I was up to 2nd in VTSD NRL this year too at one point (1st prize there is $5k I think so getting a bit serious!) but have slipped off a bit now... Hoping to make a move over the bye rounds though!!

The K-nik rumour sounds promising for Macca owners.

I'm getting CWalker this week in the halves for Elgey, Tedesco next week (probably for RTS) and I'll move Walker or Munster down to WFB when I get rid of Semi (so probably Rd 19).

@Rabbit - just reposting my q to you mate, but under what circumstances could it eventuate that Milf does in fact play v the Warriors? I can't really see how that could realistically happen, but Im probably missing something!

RTS to Teddy round 13... I hadn't thought of that one but I really like it!! Get one chance to see if the Warriors look like they go on their usual Origin run but otherwise its a real POD type play huh. Cause every man and his dog are running RTS in their team so to go without him is as good as having a POD player huh!

I've got Slater, RTS & Semi at the moment - I was planning to trade Slater to Teddy (assuming that both would be playing origin), but with Slater missing out (hopefully playing 15 & 18) I think he's a better hold for the time being than RTS. I've had Semi all season, and even if he goes on a run of good scores over the next month I'm going to ditch him for the crap he dished up for most of the year.
