Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 44
I'm very nervous having to play Lamb this week against the Storm but some guy on sc addicts said the Knights seem to play well against the Storm & you never know he might get big kick metres if the Storm dominate.

Just wondering if I'm going to need to upgrade KNik to a gun, or cash him out for other requirements.
I have the best exact same dilemma,SJ and CWalker are my halves at present and I could upgrade Niko or cash out him out and use the money elsewhere and then just turn Suli to Munster (which I have the money for anyway even before cashing anyone out) . What should I do? He is a priority to bring in for me

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 44
lets review my trade ins for rnd 12:
CHN-> Surgess - 42 points.
Kaufusi -> Graham - 18 points
Nu brown - 24 points (thats acceptable, all that was expected of him).
Terribly worried about Graham moving forward. Surgess is ok, he's a keeper, so no big deal there. It is annoying to see Elliot, priced 250k cheaper, score more than him.
In hindsight, the warning signs were there with Graham.
On the brightside, trading out Niko last week means I'm not forced into that trade this week and can trade for strategy over necessity (though Graham is a worry).
Brailey is still chugging along nicely and I'm wondering whether I need bother upgrade him just yet.
Before trades, only have 15 who will play this week (Babbey doesnt count), thats where the Mcinnes trade becomes appealing.
Adam Reynolds is quickly becoming a thorn in my side.

I feel ya brother. I got him this week but as you know a week is a long time in football. It's a waste of a trade moving him on with his byes. You never know Madge could move him back to the halves or as we know with Souths being so hot & cold they could come out hot in round 14 & Walker goes large.
Yeah, I think you are right and I feel like I am stuck with him now. Although if you knew he was gonna average sub-30s from here on what would you do?

Yeah Im not sure what to do with Brailey either. I figure he's a luxury trade at this point. I.e. if you have nothing else to deal with (and the cash) then perhaps Brailey to McInnes is the way to go? That's what I am thinking anyway - I have Brailey and Friend as my hookers currently. I haven't looked at BEs though, and it'll have to wait another week for me anyway unless I ditch the Whitehead to Lolo trade (don't have enough $ to do both!)... But I think I should stick my original plan. As you say Brailey is doing well enough!

In regards to Brailey, I really don't see the need. The only way I may be forced into swapping him to McInnes would be if Smith for some reason doesn't play.

Who is the best halve outside of Johnson from now on? Im tempted to go Niko to Cleary this week,avg 45 and only 1 bye left, only cost 52k

I like it as he's been killing it in the 2d half & if the Panthers could actually play in the 1st half like the do in the 2nd half he should be scoring 50+ each week.
As we're talking Panthers. Merrin @ 444k with a b/e of 16 this week screams pick me the way he's been going lately. The only thing is his minutes though.

I've been waiting for lockout over just so I could do Whitehead>Merrin. His average mins last 3 seasons are 66 54 54 so not sure what you're worried about. He was so fat start of season which I think effected his scoring

panthers not playing 15 for some reason is a deal breaker at the moment. Silly I know. Cleary is great value though.

hmm. At this point, if you're trading in a keeper who only misses one more game, i reckno its worth it, regardless of when that bye is.

Whitehead>Merrin is easy with BE and plays 18 and feels like I'm buying Merrin for 361k +31k which is what I paid for Pimple

Yeah, as I said, I know my thought is silly. He is a keeper and always has a great second half of the year.
I'm tempted and going to look closely at JBrom this week too. I have a feeling he's going to bounce back big time.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 44
Whats Lolo's BE this week guys? Merrin would clearly be better value IF he continues with his recent form, but that IF is the risk. You kinda know what you are gonna get with Lolo.
Also, I hate to bring up the F word, but if I go Lolo I need a cash out option and would prefer one that plays this week and/or other bye rounds. Feeney could be a candidate, but I don't know what the story is with him right now? What's Hopkinson's status?
I could alternatively bring in a C, WFB, or another Half but price has to be below $144k. Any thoughts?

Yeah man, Id second that thought. A keeper who only has one bye left is gold right now (in fact you can't do better). Merrin doubly so cause he is underpriced at this stage!
The only alternative is to pick him up after 15, and get someone like Lolo now, but you'd have to run the numbers there as it'll cost ya!

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 44
Its a tough one with Lolo. He's one of the few guys who can comfortably bust out a 90 at any time. But if you buy him now and get a string of 50's, then there are probably better options..
In games he's played more than 60 mins (5 times this year) he averages 76.2. He played a string of 50 minute games (rnd 8, 9, and 10) but then rnd 11 he played big mins again..
