Yeah, as I said, I know my thought is silly.  He is a keeper and always has a great second half of the year.

I'm tempted and going to look closely at JBrom this week too.  I have a feeling he's going to bounce back big time.

Looking at Brom last 45 scores via last 3 opponent score section he has a lot of junk scores. If you pick 47pts and under that's 24 games and half of those are sub 40. I get the price point but not sure he's an underperforming gun some suggest

I'll actually have 12 when i'm done with this weeks trades, i'm not too worried though, in round 17 i'll have my final 17, Billy Slater to cover injuries in WFB, CTR & HLF, Gurgess to cover FRF and 3 trades to spare

At this stage i only have 11 trades left but i am only looking at 1 DG 2 UG in the forwards. 1DG 2 UG in the backs to have my final team. Ill then use those 5 trades left on injuries or a late luxury buy. I dont give a stuff about bye planning anymore and will just burn the trades to my final team as quick as i can.

    Stone > Tolo
    Niko > Semi

    Leaves me with:
    Smith  (Friend)
    Graham Brown (Kaufusi) Hoare
Tolo Whitehead JDB Gallen Surgess Crichton
    SJ Munster ARey Field
    Cotric SMat Fuimaono Fine
    RTS Radradra Hayne  (Suli) Abbey

Leaves me with only 16 for this round unless someone like Fine or Hoare can squeeze into the team but gives me a pretty solid overall squad.

This is until team lists screw everything up

Just get your final 17 together quickly, then pray for no injuries.

2 years ago the final few rounds were injury Armageddon.

Last year the first few rounds saw every man and his dog go down.

This year it looks like the bye rounds are the killer period. So just get through the next few weeks and hope for the best. That is my plan.

Who is everyone planning on captaining this week? Smith seems potentially too risky but all my next best options are Sharks or Rabbits.
I should have exactly 17 so was thinking VC Smith or Johnson and C JDB. Question

Any Bodene owners pulling the plug? I might upgrade him to JDB and keep Kaufusi and Brown for 15.

Loophole doesn't work with playing hooker reserve I think so I'd probably do SJ VC then C on later forward JDB/Kapow/Merrin

Am I right about C loophole not working when 2 hookers playing? Someone posted here few days ago that people got caught out by this last season and didn't get the AE

It would have to be the VC on Smith as he plays first, so no hookers would need to be moved. I assume this would work just fine.

I would also assume (but may be wrong) that as long as neither if your hookers have played yet they should also be able to be moved okay if required to loophole.

I think I'll just stick my my original plan & definitely use 1 trade:
    F. Kaufusi out - Taumalolo in.

Then I can loophole = vc Smith (I have Cook as my other hooker) & c Taumalolo. Taumalolo has such high ownership so I think he'll be a popular captain this week.

Even if you have 2 playing hookers the loophole still works as long as your other hhoker plays after Smith. If he plays before the reserve hooker is locked so you can't move Smith to your reserves. However Smith has the first game so no problems.

My current halves are SJ, C. Walker, Lamb, Field. I'm just going to run with this combo until round 20 when I'll look to get Pearce in. With 14 trades left I'll just wait it out.
