I'm selling N. Brown & getting Taumalolo. My concern with Brown is even if he plays defenders will target his ribs & you could even see a few cheap shots go in so 1 good hit & he could be gone. Also BA will want to not expose him for 80 minutes so he'll probably only get 55-60 minutes.

I wouldnt say its cherry picked, not like i took a score from here and there. We are trying to look ahead to the back end of the season and id say most people would agree going forward Saints and McInnies are more likely to play and score like they have the past 8 games compared to the first 3 games. Right now you are paying for that full season avg of 56 and the decision will come down to will he avg that the next part of the season. You probably think he will, i dont and hence why i wont bring him in.

As to whoever brought up a Smith injury/suspension for 1-2 weeks, im aware of the risk and thats why my back-up hooker will be his handcuff. Im happy enough to run that risk, its the same risk as your back-up hooker getting injured and now having to play someone else or use a trade if long term. Ill also have trades left to cover a long term inury to Smith

It wont suit everyone but i dont think going Smith/Smith combo is a season killer.

That's cool. Those first three games for the Saints they had a fit Widdop and Dugan. Don't know whether that affects McInnes but maybe when they are back (if?) it gives McInnes more attacking oppurtunities??

It needs to be said this discussion isnt really about downgrading your 2nd hooker if its McInnies/Macca/Friend its about those who are looking to upgrade a 2nd hooker to one of those guys.

Agree. I have to get rid of KNik.

    all 3 played 4/5/8 together for a 50 avg.

3 of their next 5 games will provide some really good attacking opportunities for him though. They play Tigers/Knights/Titans

If Tualau was your 17th man this week, would you leave it at that so you could loophole, or would you get another player in and either not worry about the loophole or take the risk that Tualau doesnt even play?

    Tuimoala Lolohea in the halves

    2015
5 games, average 37.8  Kicked goals during this time, scored 1 try. Averaged 106 kick metres and 13 tackles. Whole season average 36.2 (mostly fullback with some wing and centre games)

    2016
1 game at halfback. Scored 60 points, including a try. Season average 27 (wing, fullback and some bench games)

I don't really have the trade to spend, but with halves of SJ, CNK, CWalker and  NuBrown I might take this opportunity to dump BAbbey and bring CNK down to WFB to allow future DPP moves with CWalker

(I'm going to keep the faith with Walker, think he'll rebound from his slump)

Don't think he's an urgent trade out. Unless he gets injured he won't be dropping a heap of cash.

Depends if you find his upcoming DPP (he'll get CTR added next week if he takes the field there this weekend) useful or not. Would be better if he got dropped from NSW to play in rd15. I think he has to go eventually, but no harm in holding for a short while - every chance he pumps out a 50+ to give his price a boost before he goes.

His bye usefulness is the problem. Could use someone to bump up the numbers. Edwards is tempting

It has a smell to it for a few reasons doesnt it. I think im jumping to James or Merrin

Dylan Edwards could probably be the most traded in player in fantasy & sc with Merrin a close second. In sc Edwards has a b/e of -54 & fantasy -7
I want to get the beast that is Taumalolo but Merrin with a b/e of 16 at nearly 100k cheaper & averaging 68 over the last 3 rounds (as per scout team wrap) has me re-thinking my Taumalolo purchase. Plus you can use that extra cash elsewhere.

Edwards is going to be one of those 'so popular you can't not have him' type players methinks. The spot is his to lose with a regular back-liner in Hiku left out and TMM clearly on the outer. Low BE and has a bye round to play soon enough.

Being only able to field 16 this week though I can't trade anyone playing out for him and positions restrict me anyway. It'd be CNK or Braidon Burns to make way and the latter probably just better to sit around as an NPR instead of wasting a trade and cash on him.

Going Fifi to vaughan to cover this round and 15

    Second trade could be

Yates to Jbrom or Hayne to Edwards.

Jbrom plays 2 bye rounds but Edwards can earn some cash. Any thoughts??

I'm not sure I'll be grabbing Edwards. Priced a little too high for a cashout.

And once he's in he's likely to stay  there, not sure I have the trades to spare bringing him in and back out again. So have to make a call on if I want him rest of the season (and that depends largely on Cartwright, and/or if Moylan will stay in halves)

Is a Kelly to Edwards trade worth it if it fucks my DPP flexibility between my WFB's and Centres?

Also, if I hold Brown and he doesn't play, my front row will have either Yates or Kaufusi starting.  I don't think that's a big issue that week.

EDIT: In regards to Edwards, is it really his spot to lose? I've loved what I've seen from him in his couple of games but Hiku being dumped means he's sniffing around and could come back at any time.

    Who stil lhas CHN?

Holding him for a while or cashing out now? I guess CHN - Merrin might be popular this week.

Tolo vs Merrin seems to be a discussion point for some (including me, and definitely @White Lightning as he flips and flops for the thousandth time this week). Just let me talk this thru:

Tolo. Buying high, real high. low minutes risk when the game is already won or lost has cost his fantasy points over a few weeks (scores of 50,37,49 from 50minute games). Otherwise good minutes and ridiculous scoring. Generally good form and the go to guy for the team. Good for mid-bye round planning, but misses last major bye rd. Could start seeing the price decline in the next 2-3 weeks. Value is points over money.

Merrin. Buying low. Form is certainly questionable. Team form is certainly questionable. Origin a slim risk. Enables money to be spent elsewhere. Best purchased after rd15, but price will likely rise before then. Value is money over points (considering next bye rd).

I've done well at buying players low and selling high this year, but I think I'll change that and go Tolo. Points now will be more valuable to me, and Merrin still has too many questions.

Genuine question - Shouldn't it be about bringing in keepers from here and not cows?
Will Edwards get that many points to allow you to start him? or are you planning to milk his money at the end of the season?
What are the thoughts on him - I hadn't considered him to be that valuable.
