He didn't when they gave him shit in San Fran.
He didn't when they gave him shit in Fiji.

What's he done recently? He's tied on DallyM with Moses, who was so shit his team punted him midseason.

Bhahaha, deadset, go put your leg brace back on and fuck off into retirement you Neville.

Its weird, targeting a guy who has literally been the best player on the park in origin a handful of times.
Why not target pearce, who has struggled in the past?
why not target the most penalised player in the game who has also missed the most tackles?
Why not target duges who has been out injured?
Why not target the rookie hooker?

Seems odd to verbally go after someone who quite possibly will be NSW best player.

I think the MOM will either be Boyd or Peats, depending on who wins.

My picks for MOM are Andrew Fifita or Tyson Frizell.

While I disagree with QLD being labelled underdogs they are missing (or chose not to select) Slater, Inglis, Thurston and Scott. However I am excited to see Dylan Napa named in the starting side for QLD. I expect the fiery red head will bring some much needed aggression to the QLD pack. I am also excited by the forward pack NSW have selected except with the obvious exclusion of Paul Vaughan who should have been named instead of Aaron Woods. I also think NSW should have named Bird at center and Hayne on the wing in absence of Tom Trbojevic with Peachey filling the all important utility role.

even before 2014, hayne in my opinion has generally been able to play better for NSW even when in ordinary club form, was never as dominant as GI but like GI, i always thought you have to pick him despite his form because guys like him can struggle to get up for club games but are generally gonna get up for the big games. i have no doubt hayne will get the job done.

i think pearce is a big chance for MOTM if NSW win, i don't think he has to be our best to get it. if he is competent and we win, he is a huge shot

For QLD, obviously any of smith, cronk & boyd are big chances but i think any of their starting backrow could be worth a flier, one of those guys have a big game and help win the pack battle, then that will be pretty noticeable.

Vaughan is punching out numbers this year (10 weeks) that Woods has been punching out for 4 odd years. I would have liked to see him there also, but why does everyone get so excited when a guy steps up and punches numbers others have been punching for some time and expect he walks into the team. Like Daley says, do I think for at least a year o we can see if it's your standard or you are just in a purple patch. Again, I think he would have handled it and would have liked to see it, but he is doing nothing Woods hasn't done (regardless of the powder puff calls) for a few years.

Inglis has never had a single series like Haynes 2014. He has had plenty of awesome performances but never been Qlds best for an entire series, possibly because he hasn't needed to with the likes of Smith, Thurston, Lockyer, Slater, and Cronk controlling the game and allowing him to do his this, a luxury Hayne has never had.

And just like Hodges, wins his first origin game, QLD hoist the trophy at the end of the series, and he ends up playing 24 Origins? Yeah, I'd take that. Very Happy

    Predictions:

    As a NSW fan:
    NSW 16 - Qld 12
    FTS - Hayne
    LTS - Tedesco
    Selected MOTM - Cordner
Actual best player on ground - Hayne

    If I was a Qlder:
    Qld 28 - NSW 10
    FTS - Milford
    LTS - Oates
    Selected MOTM - Smith
    Actual BOG - Milford

No chance, with not having to worry at all about controlling the game given the luxury of Smith, Cronk and Boyd, I think Milford is set for a blinder that will make it impossible to leave him out of game 2 when Thurston returns. Ending Morgans Origin career barring injury next year to key players.

Say what? Greg Inglis was player of the series in 2009. When did Hayne ever win Player of the Series? Rose coloured glasses perhaps.

you can, but if you check, it won't actually increase your payout much, if at all

    my bets

    Pearce MOTM $9
    Corey Oates FTS $11
    Either team under 6.5 $2.25
Most tackles starting second rowers: Josh Jackson @ $11 - pretty juicy in a four horse race, gillett and cordner are the two more likely to go 80 but jackson may be thrown in the middle as a tackle sponge at some stage
    Most Metre's starting props: Fifita @ $2
    most metre's wingers: Oates @ $2.25

he may have not had a series like 2014

but GI destroyed us more then a few times and hayne can't say that, yes he has more class around him then hayne but he's also made a living of destroying guys in 1on1 situations in origin

i'm a huge jmoz fan but lets be real, he was rarely in NSW top 2 centre's at club level, 2009 maybe, a few others he might have gone close, we picked him to play 14 origin games simply because he did an ok job at containing GI, thats what the early days of GI destroying Gaz, lyon, scott etc forced

My big call is that Papalii will be BEST ON GROUND in the eyes of many. Maybe not a huge call but it will be a defining game for his career and put him in the 'elite forward' status

Apparently MOTM betting has just been banned by the NRL and no MOTM will be awarded (tweet from Nick Tedeschi) ?

    Good summation there leaguegod!

Beau Scott says "hi", from the list of players picked to defend.... he's really the poster boy for it. They did a fair job, even considering that GI and Boyd on that left edge has scored so many tries it's not funny.

Imagine if they HADN'T gone defensive... they'd probably have 50 tries between them
