Well you've got decent depth so you might have to consider cutting someone surplus to requirements from your CTR or WFB's to fund some upgrades. Someone in your CTR's out for a nuffie would nab you at least 150k+ You've got room then to move on another CTR to Tom Turbo or even to Mannering via Lewis Brown's DPP
I mean looking at your team and without specifying who your reserves are I'm assuming you're running McInnes, Wallace, JDB and Gal so you got a lot of cash tied up in NPR's even if they are good depth options.

Pearce can be done but only if you're willing to cut say RTS or Walker and move Munster so you can grab him.

I'm 3k off making a Crichton -> JDB and Elliot -> Mannering trade. I could actually easily go Chricton -> Kaufusi instead. It seems crazy but at 620k I think Crichton will revert to scoring in the 50's or at least in line with JDB or Mannering's scores. It seems a bit sideways or even a downgrade but I could use the 100k+ cash from the downgrade. This would also allow me to maximise points for this round.

Someone smack some sense into me.

For this week I'd look at moving Turbo to the centres for SMAT and bring Teddy into WFB. The other trade I'd consider making is ET for Mannering.

With that much cash why not try something crazy like SMat out for Rapana. Better guns in the WFB position than Turbo available but they just don't play this round or might not back up.

Crichton is averaging 59.4 despite having 4 sub-40 scores to start the year. He averages 75 playing 80 minutes in the back-row.
Is that really what you're willing to let go based on a hunch he's just a 50 point scorer in disguise as someone on a hot streak?

Sorry Spuddies, would love to have you in there but we made a blanket rule a couple of years ago that everyone had to be in by 1st Lockout, it started causing dramas.

Hence why I said, smack some sense into me!

It's dodgy stats but if you take out the crazy 121 he scored - a score I don't think he's going to get close to for the rest of the season the average drops to 56.5. Even with the 59.4 average, it's on par with Mannering and JDB but with a 100k+ cash bonus (and the expense of one trade).

Ive been a Tolman owner since the first bye round and he is gold when klemmer and/or graham are out. But when they are at full strength his scores suffer.

Thats a lesson for me this year. I got him before the bye rounds, but then traded him to Graham to fund some other upgrades thinking that a bargain priced Graham will net me the same points. Known risk, but it didn't pay off.

I've got DPPs throughout all positions except HOK (where I have twin Cams).

With good (not great) backups, how many trades should I keep for the run in? i.e. with bulk DPP, do I need to save a couple of injury trades?

Trying to avoid keeping trades for just in case. I could cashout some duds to fund some much better upgrades, but I'm down to 4 trades.

Is it looking likely that Watson will get a run at FB ?

Always good to have a couple up till Round 24 ish. Hard to put an exact number on it.

How much cash have you got mate? You have a strong 17 plus extras to make some ranks back up this week. Elliot to another gun 2nd rower would just about complete your team. If Vaughan is out for a bit longer than maybe Fifita in. But I can't see any reason for you to not have 2 of those 4 trades on hold for the next month.

I'm holding cash to bring Pearce back in next week, but very tempted to use it on Manners. But that would take cashing out Fui or the like to fund.

Might just hold it and get Pearce and Slater back in to make the 17.

Pearce in means you are well and truly covered for injury everywhere. Unless you are moving Munster down to WFB if you were selling another WFB to bring Pearce in?
