Does Kikau aka (Kickass) get a spot in Penriths 17? That guy killed it at the wc but the panthers are literally spoilt for choice....

Think he makes the cut. CHN, JFH, Kikau and Peachy bench, possibly one of them take Cartys edge spot and he plays bench.

Yeah that’s a great bench, I know a lot of people will want to see Carty back in after the horror year last year but who misses out for him?

I know everyone thinks the Warriors are going to be spuds this year, myself included
But anyone considering RTS? last year was season back after ACL, another gut call but I think he might go back to 2015 Rooster RTS in fantasy terms, maybe not the absurd 56 points but much closer to 50 than the 44 last year

His injury didn't seem to affect him much last year
That step against the Eels was lethal

I have a no Warriors policy this year but at least RTS can actually tackle (when he first arrived he was atrocious) & actually gives 100%. Like any back he depends on a front row that dominates & gets good go forward. Blair, Gavet, Vete & Lisone are the Warriors front row stocks & they won't be dominating any team.

I wasn’t considering him because from all reports he’s not happy there and his price now is reflective of his scoring. One thing to take into account though is his contract is up this year and everyone always plays their best when there’s a contract up for grabs. He could really finish the year off with a bang.

The contract renewal playing the house down theory is what I call the “Milf theory”. I watched him at the start of 2016 year tear teams apart for the first 6-8 weeks and then got his million dollar contract signed and went missing for the rest of the year. I’ve noticed it more often now and it’s something that can be a handy tip for fantasy players.

Came up with this team by being a little silly and stacking the bench and had 9k spare. Is it that silly a team though? I'd like to hear opinions please

Interesting to see so many HOKs... I suppose everyone will have a different way of approaching this year. I may be wrong but it looks like you would have no reserve if one of your centres or even backs got injured.

What are you going to do when Opacic drops out of the team?

I think it's a silly team. It's too light in the backs. Both Opacic & Isaako won't start but maybe 1 will. Wests have a horror opening draw so having 2 Tigers is a bit much. Too many hookers on the bench & Nu Brown could be on the Bulldogs bench so Lichaa may not play 80 mins. Butcher, Savelio & Brimson won't be in the 17. I also have doubts on RCG as he misses too many tackles. Also your bench doesn't cover for injuries.

Pookus McFly wrote:That least of reputable sources 'The Rugby League Bible' are reporting Austin to play Hooker in 2018. Whilst I will take anything they say with several grains of salt, would ruin Garvey/Savilia cashcows, but perhaps make Austin himself a good pick for the half positions (and bring Williams back into contention too)
But don't you have to be able to tackle playing hooker?

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 2
Sorry Dan but White Lightning is right, your team just won't survive more than five rounds with the lack of depth in the CTR/WFB and having both Opacic and Isaako is dangerous at best
