I did a similar trade with Sorensen - Martin. The purpose being to upgrade JMK to a better half (have been playing him since I've been holding SJ).

How this relates to your situation is that I have many similar players in that 'maybe upgrade, maybe not' range like Kikau and Murray (even though our teams are quite different), but for now they are far more capable of scoring higher than JMK so they can stay. For you I think Brooks or JT have to go.  I'd probably cut my losses on Brooks and get in a premium half. Thurston has bottomed out and his price isn't going to plummet. Even if Brooks scores 40 he will drop over $20k. I realise the same can be said for Griffin but I just feel like your team looks better with a premium half. Tough choice.

I was a little short for JMK - Reynolds (which is the trade I wanted to make) but realised I can go Hiku - Reynolds and swing JMK down to WFB. I'm not averse to running 3 good halves in my final 17 (Munster, SJ and Reynolds).

Yeah it's really tough this week whether to upgrade Griffin or Brooks. Both will drop heaps of cash but Griffin last week scored so poorly and the minutes just aren't there for him. I was actually going to bring Macca in for him but now he'll probably play Origin so maybe Koroisau is the better choice. On the flip side Brooks needs to go and I need Reynolds or DCE...

Nice trade for you even though Hiku looked better last week but Reynolds is a way better pick.

I don’t think you’re missing anything, and agree it’s a tough call. I traded Griffin for Martin for my first trade (lucky to have him in my 2RF) and am also tossing up whether to bring in a gun half or cash cow forward for my second trade. I am tempted to wait a week to see how Cleary goes, because I think he is a notch above DCE and Reynolds.

But... the other way to look at it is who will most improve your 17. Looks to me like you don’t have to play Griffin (with JFH, Murray, Martin and RFM as your reserves). So a half upgrade should
earn you more points (which is after all the main aim).

Good option to wait a week on Cleary IMO. Feel he may be pushing the recovery due to the lure of Origin.

What are the Smith owners doing?

I was tempted to sell prior to this week (mainly due to upcoming workload) but now am weighing up holding??

Ended up going Gos > Martin and Brooks > DCE. Brooks scored 12...

I think that means the top 140 ranked teams this round get automatically put through to round 2 (week 14).

What a shit round so far. I've had 5 play so far for a total of 120, an average of FRICKEN 24.
This is the round that they rank the Eliminator sides, is it? Looks like I will be ranked 3956.

Still not sorted from the looks. Seems to have completely bumped all my roosters out of my 17 (I assume Broncos too). I’d quite like Tedesco’s score back - Mitchell and Matterson less so...
