2017 Latu was rubbish, only cracked 30 3 times, always from the bench.

In 2016, from round 7 onwards (mostly as a starter), he averaged 36.

You would want to be comfortable he'd hold down a starting spot on Wallace's return to take the punt.

Sorry, wasn't directed at your team haha. I meant lets spell it Croker not Crocker, I've been holding it in too long and the lack of caffeine and hot water this morning forced me to react this time.

Edit: As for the choice, i think I'd probably take Aubbs personally, just because I'd be a bit nervous as to what S.Williams and no Hodgson will do to the team and how that might impact Toots.

Nah he suffered with injuries and struggled a bit late in the year. I have a hunch with Thurston back he'll return some form and hes dirt cheap

I have updated my solver sheet from last year to cater for 2018 prices and positions (also adds in DPP which wasn't there last year)

    http://www.mediafire.com/file/xvp7mqx5m53bzua/2018_Team_Planner_v1.0.xlsx

For those who haven't used it, you change the Projection column from the default of 2017 average, and out what you think that player will average in 2018.

Then run the "solver" and it picks the most efficient 21 players for you.
It will only select from the 200 best players, which by default cuts off at an average of 31.

If you want it to consider more players than that then best to put in 0 for the projection of any player that you don't want in your team.

edit: and usage tip. Because it only looks at the top 200 players, it means it won't consider any cheap players for your team. Which means that its physically impossible for guys like Cam Smith to make your team, even if you project them to score 1000 points a week.
So to be useful at all you need to go through the first 150 or so players, and project a score of 0 for anyone who you don't want to consider for your team. And also put in a score projection for any cheapies that you think you might want.
You need a decent amount of under $300k players to appear in the first 200 players when you sort by projected score, otherwise its picking from a very narrow range.
Unfortunately the solver tool can't handle calculating the score of all 450+ players

Without any modification, it picks this team, but no doubt with a bit of tweaking of the projections you can come up with better

Some people keen on Jarrod Croker because of his easy start to the year.

Raiders start the year with Titans, Knights, Warriors, Sea Eagles, Dogs

In 2017 his average against those teams was 39. His season average was 38.

Form chasing can be very risky. What happens if the Knights have improved a lot in the off-season and he can't rack up a massive score against them?

I'd seriously look at Tapine if he somehow secured a starting spot with decent minutes.  Maybe he could potentially take the lock role off Soliola?  Kid is a gun when he gets going and doesn't give away penalties.

    I had J. Croker last year & he's a pussy & can't tackle for shit.
