Re the loophole. Can we afford to carry 1 npr? With 4 less players it's going to be harder making money.

Does a NPR restrict the money you can make from a potential cashcow given less players in our team this year??

It just says "avatar"
That's weird because I can see it but obviously others can't.

Welcome mate!
I'll have a look over your team but I'm rubbish at advice haha. I don't mind the team but I'm not a fan of Moylan and his fantasy scoring potential. Elliot could also have question marks around him maybe RFM if he is stating in the second row might be a better option?

I've got 4 players who I think haven't been mentioned are are imo very good shouts:
Hurrell - wrecking ball who has knuckled down, came back to pre season very fit
Hipgrave - watch out for him this year
Stimson - all the talk about Hoffman getting the edge spot but imo it will be Stimson
A. Johnston - if GI plays ctr AJ will be fb & he did very well there at the end of the season

If toots doesn't indeed pass it, it doesn't bode well for Archers bet
1) The Toots doesn't pass thing is a bit of a popular myth. He doesn't give it to his winger unless they are in a better position than he is, the longer he plays with a winger and the better they are (knowing when to cut back inside or stay out or look for a late offload etc) the more that issue goes away. It also didn't help that everyone who breathed had Cotric last season and so for purely selfish reasons wanted him to get the ball every time (and Croker isn't infallible and had a couple of obvious clangers where he kept it instead of passing)
2) Rapa scores heaps of his points from solo efforts like his dummy half scoots or chasing the improbable kicks to the death, as well as Smelly putting him through gaps.
3) The shift doesn't make any sense to me.

On the other hand theres always a wasted position on a Pythian/feeney anyway..

That's the $11,000 question.
Have to have a think about potential loophole points vs lost cash revenue.
If we go with a magic number of approx $15,000 per point, and assume our 21st player could make $100,000.
Then loophole would need to make 6-7 points per week.
Hmmm, on the face of it the sneakery of looping may not be worth it.
Might try and find a $212k player who misses round 1 but is a high chance of getting a run during the season.

You're right I think its more fantasy reasons why people were annoyed at Croker. Also the combos did work well last year I'm not sure switching them would change much

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 3
@whitelightning
Hurrell - average last year of 37, inline with his better fantasy seasons 40 in 2014, 38 in 2013. Would need a glut of early tries then upgrade before he dips back down
Hipgrave - will be on most watchlists as a cheapie with starting potential in a so-so Titans front 5
Stimson - I reckon he starts on the edge, averaged 37 when he played 50+ minutes, His high score without a try was 34 with a low of 23 in 64 minutes.
A. Johnston - GI looks like nailed the FB spot down so AJ on the wing is not the best proposition, averaged 42 playing 12 games at FB last year so value if he gets it

Those are never deliberately wasted.
What if you pick a deliberate NPR, and an accidental Feeney. Then you only have 2 working cash cow spots

Sounds like doueehi might be that man (if he doesnt get a bench spot). Assuming that a) reynolds gets injured, and b) he gets a run in the halves if so.
