I was hoping he’d play 11 so he’d be next to Elgy and Lee defending Laugh 3

I'm just a bit nervous with Mannering as if he plays No. 12 he'll only score 40-45 pts/game, which would be a killer blow when my #23 pick will likely be someone like Matt Gillett (i.e. not captain worthy).

Your first mistake is playing a draft game with double point captains. People with late picks behind the 8-ball from the start.

Mannering is as safe as pick as any, but you probably want to pick a hooker and a half in your first 3 picks too if you want a decent one, so that would be a consideration

Having thought about it some more I think running a dead spot on purpose for loop purposes is too risky. With the reduced bench spots, money making and injury coverage are too important. And as we all know a dead spot is bound to happen naturally (Python, Henry etc). Unless TLT throws up some quirks I don't think I will do it.

The other thing on NRL 360 was Kent thinks Hodko plays 5/8 Moylan FB Holmes wing but wasn't convincing. The rest of the panel thought he was crazy. Depth signing right?

Anyone else having problems with the forum not loading sometimes? I have to close it down then re-open and it is fine. My internet has been playing up today though so assuming it is that.

With Carty shifting to the Gold Coast, does this mean Fisher-Harris is more likely to pick up minutes in the 2nd row? Another question, probs obvious, but as Suli has signed with Doggies, what does this mean for Tigers centre spots? Throws up a couple of cheap options.

Munster anyone? Big investment and out for both the bye rounds BUT a few points underpriced on his 5/8th scores from last year and with potential to improve on kick metres and tries (he only scored one last year). Great tackling base stats and probably more attacking involvement with a rookie half instead of Cronk. Think - with uncertainty about SJ and Cleary's field kicking roles - he could be the highest scoring half in the game this year.

I think, considering byes and trades, you can probably carry two SOO keepers in your opening round team and IF I go without Smith then am veering towards Munster and Teddy.

Potentially with CHN supposedly out for a few rounds, Peachy still there although I'm not sure Griffin rates him in the 2RF
Merrin could pick up some extra slack

Big outlay but I think Munster is worth it

I haven't really thought of byes and origin too much yet but I'd love to make room for Munster

I think we'd all like to know the answer to those questions. JFH would be a bargain but a stacked backrow there still with Merrin CHN Yeo ?Peachey even Kikau but definitely worth watching especially if Peach gets released. With the Tigers Milne was looking to be in a battle there but is a lot more likely now, and Fonua a chance now?

To be honest I don’t think Suli was in their plans anyway. Is on the injured list for a couple more months and apparently shit at training I think the coach was already set on him not playing.

As for JFH I think hell be a bench prop and Yeo and CHN (when healthy) will be the 11 and 12. I think if benifits anyone it’s Merrin

I think CHN, Kikau, Peachey all more likely to get the Panthers second row gig. JFH used as a bench prop last year, but there could still be value to him at his price and with possible DPP.

Tigers... consensus seems to be that Milne will get one centre spot and the other is between Marsters and Naiqama (with either Fonua or Naiqama on the wing), but wait for trials, I suppose.

Widdop has always been on my no go list. Burnt me last year when I was looking at a mid ranger with value, went sezer. God damn Sezer.

With hunt around, do we think his scores will improve??

The other interesting thing from 360 was Mbye and Lichaa talking about Des and the new coach. They danced around some subjects particularly Lichaa about not running from DH. But his eyes lit up when talking about how Pay was different in that he was to play an expansive game, and in saying you should play what's in front of you, you got to first grade for a reason, and Mbye repeated it, and that he wants Foran to be steering the ship. Listensing to that Lichaa's stocks certainly didn't go down.

I think they'll be sharing duties 50/50 or near abouts. Will be good for other dragon players but not their two halves
