I reckon that's a dead easy call. Whitehead is a dependable minute player in a settled team, with room to improve from a better position.

Harris is a former gun who's taken the money to go to the League's worst team in a pack of disarray, where his ability to TB off quality halves disappears.

One has upside risk, the other only down. I'm taking Whitehead all day.

It's obvious you can pick the guy that will get 80 mins but you should expect reduced PPM because he's playing injured or you can pick the guy who may score higher PPM but wont play 80 minutes.

At the moment I have C Walker and Cartwright in Halves. Should I try and upgrade Walker by downgrading one of my backrowers e.g Mannering, Whitehead or Murray or back my halves in ?

I don't think Kennar is a trap. He'll be playing outside Gagai who is one of the few centres who actually try & set up their winger. Kennar is also a big body & should get some tb's through kick returns & doing the hard yards running it out from dummy half. There's also the big plus that Souths have the Warriors in round 1 & I expect him to score a couple of tries.

In 9 games for Melbourne, Kennar averaged 21.8 points.

He scored over 30 just once in 9 games, and averaged slightly over 1 TB a game.

Do you think he'll do much better at Souths? He's cheap and DPP so might be OK on an NPR bench, no way I would trust him starting though

All wrong so far. He isn't actually that much of a POD, higher than 5% ownership, just havent really seen him listed in any teams here.

So is Souths backline full strength:

    Reynolds
    Walker
    Kennar
    Gagai
    GI
    Hunt
    Johnson

So if GI makes round 1 Hymel Hunt won't be worth it on the wing?

    from the rules

A: All player positions have been chosen based on the positions players have played in most of the time in previous years. These positions are determined at the beginning of the year. These positional allocations will be reviewed throughout the year, meaning some players may be upgraded to dual-position players midway through the season. These updates are due to occur after R6, R12 and R18.

    Merrin
    Harris
    Whitehead
    Murray

if all starting at 13 except Harris at second row.

Rabbitohs play Warriors, Panthers, Sea Eagles, Bulldogs to start. Don't seem the best defensive sides in the competition so could jag the odd try here and there if Gagai sets him up. If he averages 30 points over this period how much money would he make?

    Players averaging 50+ in 2017:
Smith, Macca, McInnes, Friend, Vaughan, Fifita, Brown, Taupau, Taumalolo, Crichton, Mannering, JDB, Gallen, J-Trbo, Surgess, Papalii, SJ, Pearce, Cleary, Croft, Tedesco, Rapana.

    I guess JDB.

All good options. Only thing putting me off harris is word of his nagging foot injury.

Merrin - full preseason, former gun
Whitehead - move to lock more defence, minutes unknown
Murray - pontential gun based off a couple of solid performances

Kennar's b/e is 16 for round 1. They play the Warriors in round 1 so I think he's going to score 35+. I don't know how that equates to a dollar increase but I do know his b/e will be much lower in round 2.
