Not understanding the sudden Taupau love, he was so underwhelming the back end of the year. I guess he has the potential but he is frustrating to watch.

I am taking credit for the Taupau love by pointing out that last year his scores increased by 33% when Lussick didn't play.

I'm thinking AFB can really excel in his absence, maybe even keep the starting role.

That's what we all said when every man and his dog traded him in for the last bye. We know how he went after that.

So what trails are being televised or streamed this week and is there a place to find them easily?

I too was guilty of that.
Would you turn Taupau into AFB, and Teddy into Dufty to get Smith in for Watson?
Or TIT? (Trust In Taupau)

Fifita will be hard to ignore if round one team lists have a hooker and a half on the bench. Maybe Prior is looking for an increased workload too.
Bench will be
James Segeyaro
Ava Seumanugai (averaged 42 minutes as starting prop last year
Jayson Bukuya (Must be missing the trial due to something) - averaged 47 mins off the interchange last year
Kurt Capewell (talk that he will come on to Grahams edge and Graham could spell Gallen at lock either side of halftime). Will also get some minutes on Lewis's edge you would think.
EDIT: Scratch that - didn't see Bukuya in the 13.

NRL is streaming some of them
https://www.nrl.com/news/2018/02/21/nrl-trials-2018-all-the-games-covered/
We will also be hosting livestreams from four Saturday matches – the Gold Coast Titans v Auckland Warriors (6pm AEDT kick-off), Penrith Panthers v Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs (6.30pm AEDT), Cronulla Sharks v Wests Tigers (7pm AEDT) and Parramatta Eels v Newcastle Knights (7pm AEDT)
Fox is showing the wankfest/cap rort tonight, and Charity Shield tomorrow night

I didn't see that Gal was missing from that so yeah, you're bench there would be spot on for round 1.

A few of the guys from work going to this and I can't understand why. Absolute joke of a game and it's absolutely pouring up here today. The only thing I'm interested in watching it for is fantasy obviously.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 6
On Taupau, the reason I am getting him is because without Lussick and Lawrence he should get 60 minutes, plays round 13 after which I will reassess, and has a reasonable draw against Knights, Eels, Rabbitohs, Raiders, Titans, Tigers to start the year. At least three of those teams will be bottom four this year I feel.

Isn't Lussick coming back after not too long anyway. All seems a bit irrelevant for a few weeks at the start of the season

Yeah, I'm happy to spend a fair bit of coin on the WFB/CTR positions this year. I'll only have one wfb/ctr on my reserves bench for cover like most of us here.
Trying to go with a set and forget approach not taking massive risks.
My current backline looks like this.
Teddy, Ponga, GI
Hayne, Takairangi
With Hiku as cover.
I reckon Teddy may not live up to fantasy expectations at the Roosters. There wont be so much of the give it the Teddy thing!

Like it but reckon Smith(c) will end up burning you. Don't like the Maubbs pick as pretty much full value (but could pay off).

Can't wait to see Teddy average 60 in the first 4 weeks and the thought of how others must be feeling whilst watching Roosters games. He only scored 5 tries last year whilst Gordon managed 7. Roosters have the easiest draw by far this year.
Opening draw is Tigers, Bulldogs, Knights, Warriors. Not bad.

Interested to watch Jbrom and NAS again tonight. If I was to start with 1 I think it would be NAS.
