It'll be interesting to see how Takaz will go in the 2nd row. In previous seasons he's played at 5/8 and Ctr.
He should get a few more base stats in.

Would Lui or SST be a better option than murray? Unsure how bad his injury is and how it will affect his minutes early on

My calculations he averaged 44.5 in 48 minutes. If he gets 55-60 minutes he could push a 50 average.
You are correct sir. My bad, I missed one game. It's 44.5 in 48 min over eight games. Still a bit inflated by the tries, 2 in eight matches. Normally scores 1 per season. Take out the tries and the associated LB's and TB's and we are back down to about 40 and like I said 37.8 the year before. Has a few low scores in him. But definitely some value there and dpp is nice.

Hearing Koroisau might be in line to play 80 mins this year. Anyone have any stats on his scores when playing 80 mins?

My main issue with taka is if there is an injury with an outside back he'll get shafted back to ctr. Same thing happened to smat last yr, so frustrating

Decided to do a silly team and have only 228k/212k players from 14-21. Would this team actually do ok if 4 of the reserves played regularly?

Bromwich Alvaro
Brown Mannering Harris
Croft Cartwright
Gagai Milne
Tedesco Turbo Ponga

It will be interesting to see what the effect of Cordner coming back would be. Does tetevano or butcher or radley drop off with matterson returning to bench. If butcher stays can see him getting at least 30 mins and may eat into Liu's game time as the season wears on. Matterson can also play middle rotation. Am weary of jumping to conclusions about what Liu will score

He played big mins at the end of last year and as discuss previously gets a lot of negative points through harsh miss tackle scoring

You are right in that Liu doesn't rack up big tackle counts & he relies on the stats you mentioned to boost his score. I feel though with the opening draw then he should be able to maintain those stats. He was their best forward at the end of 2017 & was probably the best forward for Samoa in the world cup & might carry that form into this season.

pingu lives in our hearts wrote:any thoughts on this team?
cook
j brom, lodge
taupau, whitehead, RFM
DCE, croft
hiku, milne
ponga, teddy (c), lolohea
liccah, carty, watson, griffin
katoa, kikau, croker, garvey
If you are happy to accept at 60 to 65 minutes (or perhaps less), then that is OK. Should still make money but I cannot really see any captaincy options in your and team that would leave you behind the 8-ball.
FRF fine, but nothing to suggest that J Brom will improve on last year really. What has changed?
2RF - whiteheaad and RFM offer value, but taupau does not really apart from being a keeper DPP. Unlikely to increase in value
HLF no problem there, but a lot of resouces tied up in DCE, many alternative options may score equally well for less.
CTR Milne may not play based on the current team list, and the jury on Hiku is out. Sometimes you get what you pay for.
WFB Ponga and Teddy great picks but Teddy does take up a lot of resources. Lolohea has generally scored not as well at FB. I am not sure there is much value there.
14 -17 - all very decent options and a bit of DPP action. Nice!
18-19 good options
20-21 potentially better options available
Biggest concern is your centres. No back up on the bench and I am not sure I would be counting on them to deliver.

The eels have multiple outside backs who fill those positions before Taka. Taka is a big and mobile forward but a centre with reduced pace. I think this is the time in his career where he is making the switch for good. With Taka on one edge and Edwards on the other, the eels wiill be very potent in attack.
To answer wolfy, I think that with four forwards named on the bench and Alvaro named to start, Evans will struggle to get the minutes to be fastasy relevant. I am excited for his role at Parramatta, but not in terms of fantasy scoring. Better options out there.

Averaged 44.5 in 80 minute games last season.
Priced at 43.
He is already a big minute hooker, I dont see much change to his role.

Who is comin back into that forward pack apart from Milne. If Eisenhuth starts at lock at Round 1 could be a good pick up?
Surely ET will slot back into the #13 jersey come TLT.

So my current 2row has a combined % of ownership of 6%. To much POD?
