ET; Twal and Sue left out due to niggles.

Chris McQueen is still coming back from injury and may be in NSW cup to give him big minutes.

From a Tigers point of view I like eisenhuth at lock and hope he keeps the spot when EG comes back.

Not sure what it means with Lolohea on NSW cup. Surely hes a better option than Thompson at fullback.

Milne bench again and Marsters KevNaq are not walk up start—ahead-of, propositions. I think the Milne first picked days are done

Back half of 2017 Tigers did really well with Eisenhuth at lock. Forgetting fantasy, i hope they continue with that this year.

Eisenhuth is a beast at lock. Just through tackles & run metres in 2017 he averaged 47. He was in my team from the get go until word came out that he was going to be on the bench. He may still be for round 1.

Guess there will be a lot of people looking for the extra 100k to turn Milne into Taka. Only trials though...

Advantage with Taka over last year's SMat is that he's so much cheaper than SMat was, so makes,an extra bundle even if he scores at 30. Also he doesn't get knocked out every other carry. Of course danger of in-game moves to centre but would need more than one of Jennings/Hayne/Guth to be out to go there permanently.

Cleary did say after last weeks trial that the side to play this week will be "full strength" where possible.

I dont really know if hes the type of coach to play games with lists? Who knows.

ill be happy if one of thompson, fonua or milne starts. of course milne would be best, but running with one cheapie in the back 5 will be inevitable for most teams

just looking at the cows team for the testimonial which looks so strong. ethan lowe will likely play 80 again. last year he had some awkward minutes at the start which reduced his overall average 4 points.

his 2016 avg was also cloe to 49. priced at 41 this year at 600k could be a smoky and a decent arrow replacement if it comes to it

Did Milne start in the first game? Him not even in the 17 here is a concern and I feel chaos will present itself come TLT.

Watson + Taupau for me. They may score around the same but I would be worried about AFB getting good minutes once everyone is back in the side.

    1. Tuimoala Lolohea 2. Corey Thompson 3. Kevin Naiqama 4. Esan Marsters 5. Malakai Watene-Zelezniak 6. Josh Reynolds (capt.) 7. Luke Brooks 15. JJ Felise 9. Matt McIlwrick 22. Tim Grant 11. Chris Lawrence (capt.) 12. Robbie Rochow 10. Matt Eisenhuth

    Coach: Ivan Cleary
    Rested from tonight's trial:
Elijah Taylor, Chris McQueen, Ben Matulino, Alex Twal, Russell Packer, Jacob Liddle, Sauaso Sue

Here was the team list from the first trial and again Milne was on the bench, so it doesn't look good for a round 1 start........................

Bronx made it tough on themselves against PNG i reckon. While all other clubs are just looking to stretch the legs in prep for round 1, the Hunters will be fired up to play the game of their lives in front of their home crowd.

Just another example of unselfishly putting the betterment of the game, ahead of the club.

If the NRL was fair dinkum, the Broncos would start the season on 10 points to account for all the heavy lifting they do for everyone else throughout the year.

As Milchcow said most of the Tigers left out are due to injury.

Benji is on standby for birth of child, hence unavailable.

Lolohea is an interesting one but word has it that Corey Thompson has been training the house down. Thompson also had a superb game in the fullback role in the trial last week. Corey Thompson could be a good cow if selected starting FB round 1 (potentially even wing).

Tyson Gamble also super impressive vs Cows and going off a hunch, say he will usurp Brooks sometime in the season.

Are Milne and Fonua becoming less fantasy relevant by the minute perhaps aye?

Also keen to see where Felise lineups come round 1

Marsters to take starting GK duties perhaps?
