I don't think so....but I'm not convinced of Haynes value. I'm sure he'll prove me wrong though. I'm just struggling to build a good team if I spend money in the centres....and when I do, I feel unsure of the upside of my picks (and whether they are too popular / bad for rd 13 (if I buy a keeper, I'd want them playing rd 13)

Hopefully clubs are willing to release their players, that could certainly be an issue...

Bennett is notorious for not releasing players for mid season tests. I wonder if the hypocrite will release himself for a pay check ?

If you're going for a tag team of players most hated by team mates. You've got it in spades.

Actually I'm going to go Croker to start the season.
Of the teams they play in the first 7 rounds, he has an average of 45+ against 6 of them. Hopefully this year is also better than last year.

Very well balanced side. Makes me jealous. Don't like the Hayne pick. Just don't think he will score well enough from centre but it's probably a gut feel sort of thing.

Like the team (partially as it's quite similar to mine) but not a fan of McQueen & Hayne.
Suggestion would be putting RFM into the starting 2nd row and seeing who else you could find for McQueens price on the bench (for example Connor Watson, Slade Griffin).

Croker/Leilua locked into my centres now Cool

Leilua was one of my first players picked in all 3 comps and hasn't left my team since. For a 33 average price, I think he can very reasonably average 40. So many times I remember thinking it wasn't even the fact that the team was going much worse in 2017..he was just playing so poorly.

Croker's an interesting one, I think he's almost a better pick as he's got the consistency of being the goal kicker - I just went for Leilua as he's one of my favourite players and is ~70k cheaper.

I've chucked in guys like Taka, Hayne, Milne but keep coming back to Leilua. If the raiders can find the form of 2 years ago I think it was it could pay off big time.

Gah, even before the pump-up article Latrell is the player I keep coming back to.
I just can't squeeze him in though, and doubtless he will end up being the most prominent big fish in my 'just missed out' list. But unlike all the others, it irks me greatly to leave him out.

...Which inevitably means he will average at least 50 to begin this season.

He vexes me. I am terribly vexed.

After watching the Raiders trial I wasn't that impressed. There was no Hodgson & it also had a pack that was full strength that looked pretty ineffective. I don't know if I could pick any Raiders backs.

Leilua averaged 47 in 2016 against the teams he plays in the first 7 rounds this year. I don't read to much into trials really due to it not being a competitive environment

I have Mitchell & he's going to kill it this year. If you get a chance have a look at the 2 tries he scored in the trial.

Well that sums up Leilua's performance in the trial because he wasn't competitive at all.
