Croft, Smith and Munster have played 1 game together

Round 24 against Newcastle where the storm won easily, and none of the 3 did much kicking of note.

Croft scored a hattrick and 75 points.

Can I get some stats on McQueen from his time at the Rabbitohs Milchy if you have them handy.

Just away from the comp at the moment

    My squad now..

    C. Smith
    J. Bromwich, M. Lodge
    C. McQueen, RFM, N. Brown
    C. Watson, B. Croft
    M. Aubusson, B. Takairangi
    J. Tedesco, K. Ponga, S. Katoa

    M. Lichaa, B. Cartwright, L. Latu, C. Murray

    L. Croker, C. Garvey, C. Thompson, R. Kennar

This is a really nice balanced squad. Not sold on McQueen also and not sold if he will start but who stands in his way, I'd assume just CLaw.

I'm opting for Cook over Lichaa at the moment too, if I don't get both that is.

Just in relation to the Croft talk, I was getting cold feet on him this morning for some reason. Testimonial I think put me off and I know it shouldn't have because we need to erase that game from our memeroies like it never happened, and his stats look good.

Just like all fantasy scorers minus the elite few

It all evens out over the season, his 75 points matches (WCC) will be offset by his quiet 25/30 point games (trial)

I think he will be a great fantasy buy this year

Yeah I know, I think for his price should be tremendous value. I think sometimes when you see some money tied up on a player that's not really all the tested and proven it makes your squad look somewhat less elite because you keep looking at it over and over. I'll stick with him.

I always think the same, someone with an already decent price tag and average you sometimes struggle to see where the extra points come from

Just got to go with the gut sometimes

I reckon Ponga has the potential to match Turbo for much cheaper and Liu over Rochow all day long if named to start lock TLT

realised last night Liu averaged 44 when starting lock

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Ponga is going to be a bust. He was so charitably scored last year, - I mean ridiculously charitably scored - and there's no reason to think he's going to be again. He's in a much poorer team than he was last year, with more pressure and less ball. And is he *that* good? Games I've seen he's looked OK but in no way special and certainly not in TTrbo's league... he just got rated by fantasy fans tugging themselves off because he was a base price player who'd get scored 12 points on a load of plays where he should have got 3.

Anyway, could well be a mistake but I'll be steering clear.

Why would the way he gets scored change? If he was given TBs for fun last year then why of of a sudden would he not be given them for doing the same slapsie thing?

Fanhub favourites change year to year.

Also - without getting too conspiracy theory about it - it could potentially happen than some high-ownership base price cows get scored charitably, possibly to generate more money in the game and encourage more site engagement and revisits for more casual players. I think this may have happened with Ponga last year - the scoring was *so very noticably* different to other players. He's not a base price cow this year.

It's not just that though. I'm also not convinced that either he or the Knights are actually that good at RL. Could easily be wrong.

Thats exactly why I had Liu. I guess Im judt a massive Turbo fan and not that sold on Ponga.

Any thoughts on Rochow and Mcqueen? If rochow can hold a 38ish average for the first month and a couple of decent scores after that even thst could be enough to make him worth it?

Entered in league 3, great work to all involved in the setups, gets bigger and better every year. Now to get my head around the new rules and strategies, should be a great season ahead. Hopefully carry on with the climb up the ladder, started in league 5 a couple of seasons ago, league 4 last season , and now league 3. Good luck to all competitors, your advice and help is invaluable.
