That's fine but the point both myself and Mulvy made was a team can be made with plenty of cash left over by still following the most workable forumula of established guns, money makers and the odd punt on some mid rangers

Just realised I can turn one of my 228k into Rochow, IF I turn another 228k into Doueihi or another 212k. Leaves nothing in the bank but I like it. Hoping both get named now.

Thoughts? Still waiting for team lists but this is the main basis I have. I think it's interesting that they changed it up this year, it will be nice to see what happens to fantasy in the coming years.

My thoughts are you have the best new username on the forum.

    Welcome.

Looks fine but obvs a lot of question marks over whether a lot of those players will make round 1 team lists.
I feel like the look of your team will be completely different come next Wednesday but same could be said for all of us.

For anyone who is looking at I.Liu vs/or  S.Taukeiaho, I'm going to copy paste from my notes I've just written up (stats on Milchy's awesome excel sheet). I should be right, but I've had a few beers.

    ISAAC LIU:
    2016 Stats at lock:
    Rounds 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 13, 11, 18, 20. (11)
    score: 24, 48, 23, 51, 48, 52, 31, 28, 9, 38, 35 = 387
    Mins: 31, 49, 37, 59, 63, 64, 36, 56, 10, 43, 50 = 498 (48min avg without the 10min)
    AVG: 35.1
    PPM: 0.7 PPM

    2017:
    Rounds: 18, 20-26 ( 8 )
    Score: 47, 59, 59, 55, 28, 27, 45, 36. = 385 (avg 48)
    Mins: 49, 56, 47, 49, 47, 51, 42, 44. = 385 (avg 48min pgame)
    AVG: 48
    PPM: 1

    SIO SIUA TAUKEIAHO:
2016 Stats @ lock (comparable to prop?)
    Rounds 2, 3, 17, 19, 21, 22, 23, 24 ( 8 )
    Score: 52, 67, 48, 45, 45, 47, 42, 63 = 409
    Mins: 73, 80, 49, 49, 47, 45, 44, 49 = 436 (avg 54)
    AVG per game: 51
    PPM: 0.93

    2017 Stats: @ Lock:
    Rounds: 8,9,10,11,13,14 ( 6 )
    Score: 44, 47, 41, 37, 42, 31 (242)
    Mins: 44, 69, 53, 39, 51, 43 (299, avg mins 49)
    AVG per game: 40
    PPM: 0.8

My takeout from that (BASED ON 2017 stats), I've no idea which one to pick lol. Liu PPM from last year means he is the better value (only if he gets the mins). Taukeiaho stats are from lock (is that comparable to prop, I think so?), even if SST get goal kicking, and avg 2 conversions (4points) while he is on pitch, which bumps his avg to 44 ppg, I still have a feeling Liu is the better buy.  EG. Napa avg 47mins last year per game, if SST avg 47 mins, based on last year he gets 37.6 (@0.8ppm) + 4 (for conversion) = 41.
If Liu gets 48mins per game (like he did last year), he avg 48points.

Anyway take what you will from this, I'd done the research for myself and thought I'd paste it here. I know someone already did a write up of Liu (i think) a couple of pages back, sorry if I'm rehashing stuff.

The main thought wasn't really on having a team with cash left over. It was more picking a group of guys who on the whole have a decent chance of increasing in value over the season. Then if a boom basement player emerges I can trade down, and the same goes for a established gun who may be on his way down I can jump on them too.

Was just a way of being able to target certain players without my overall team value dropping.

    Anyway just a thought.

Nice analysis mate. I think though I agree with @Warriors' posit that 4/5 midrange FRF are traps. Quite possible that one of these two is the one who isn't though. I do really like NAS but I've taken him out as well.

We're really sorry for the unacceptable delay in getting back to you.

We're not entirely clear on whether your having trouble linking your account in order to log in, or if you've successfully logged in and are having trouble finding your history. If it's the latter, we are still in the process of building the history section and it may not be available until a a few weeks into the season, however this is a very vague estimate and shouldn't be taken as a guarantee - it may come sooner or later than that.

If your troubles are in linking a new nrl.com account to your old Fantasy account, then it would be good to have a bit more information on this subject. If you're having trouble with logging in to your nrl.com account or linking it to an exisiting Fantasy account, we recommend getting in touch with their support team via https://www.nrl.com/contact-us. However, if you're having trouble remembering details of your old Fantasy account, we may be able to help you out.

Please let us know how you go with this advice, and again we sincerely apologise for the delay in getting back to you.

    Kind Regards,
    FanHub Support

Fuck me, haha. How long was the delay in the response? Credit where credit is due-they apologised a couple of times, you wouldn't have gotten that a couple of years ago. But deadset, they must be running on an even thinner skeleton crew now.

Love watching Cook play, he was a Surf life-saving beach sprinter champion in his youth! Such pace out of dummy half.

In other news, I had no idea J.Mcguire was all but totally blind out of one eye, amazing how he is able to compete at the level he does with with the complete lack of depth perception. Looked super trim (more than last season) in the trial, might just have to pick him!
