Team full of Mid Rangers that have a chance of increasing in price then depending on the situation trade up and down depending I who the boom cheapies and falling guns maybe.

    Could that work?

Will need to trade heavy early on as you can't afford to get too far behind the leaders, and no real Origin byes either to catch up there.
Probably still need to keep a couple of guns for captaincy options, but might be fun and potential to build a huge $$ team if you get it right.
Also means you could potentially have your final team much sooner than everyone else too

Feels easier trading one of these players if they don't live up early on than a gun who has a few bad games and is bleeding cash.
Due to the way the price rises are instant, you only have to blink on these middies waiting one more week and then you can't afford to bring them in, ala Crichton/Hess/Ponga/Slater
Thinking something similar with all the potential value players this year, though bound to catch a few traps too.

So basically take a shotgun approach to getting the right players and trade the misses haha

I remember when i went to sleep last night, reading some discussion on here that Farah was rumored to be leaving and heading to the raiders. Didn't look back but surely that was put to bed ( Razz Cool ) as just wishful thinking from fantasy players right?

A lot of people would love to remove the uncertainty around Cook so they can run with him and as soon as you mention who might need a Hooker of course Raiders spring to mind with Hodgo out. But we had to let Baptiste go at the start of the season due to the Salary Cap, how would we have Wobbie on the books after just picking up Hingano and if we did have that cash, why would we use it on him after picking up two fill in hookers already...

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but i think Farah will be the bad smell around Cook all 2018, just as he was 2017

with 250k in the bank JFriend over CS9, no Tedesco I hate it

For this team to work you need 6 players in your starting 13 who i would consider to be risks to elevate massively, that's without guys like Ponga, Taka, Liu Mitchell (less risk) going above where they are priced

nowhere near enough established talent to make that team work

Looks ridiculous to me. Nearly every player is risky. Even if there was two trades available every week for the whole season, there wouldn't be enough weeks to fix all the inevitable flops. You've even spent money in the emergencies which don't get any points, and no where near enough in the 17. Only one marginal captain choice. If every player completely guns it then sure great thinking, but that could be said of any team. Good luck with that.

Having a team with a lot of mid-rangers isn't necessarily terrible. But that team was terrible.

You can make a team with plenty of cash left over no problem which includes Guns and money makers and not just flooded with mid tier pot shots

Back to the drawing board then.

Although what you guys are describing is just a standard cookie cutter team that gets posted on here daily.

Insert gun into position then fill with value picks around him. The team that picks the least flops will prosper.

Just got a bit boring seeing them.

I really like Cook. Awesome player and he has shown before he can play 80. Throw in goal kicking and you could be looking at the heir to the fantasy GOAT CS9. Won't happen in the immediate future but who knows? Maybe I should be in the big calls thread.....

There is a big reason there is a largely template team which floats around here daily mate, its the same every year.

Oh yeah I understand that it's a tried and tested formula for success. And I try to take on all the info that is posted throughout the season.

Just wanted to try something different and if it makes people think then hey no harm

On a more conciliatory note, could be cool to try as a wags team?

It's hard enough managing one team as it is. The rabbit hole can't get much deeper can it?

We're really sorry for the unacceptable delay in getting back to you.

We're not entirely clear on whether your having trouble linking your account in order to log in, or if you've successfully logged in and are having trouble finding your history. If it's the latter, we are still in the process of building the history section and it may not be available until a a few weeks into the season, however this is a very vague estimate and shouldn't be taken as a guarantee - it may come sooner or later than that.

If your troubles are in linking a new nrl.com account to your old Fantasy account, then it would be good to have a bit more information on this subject. If you're having trouble with logging in to your nrl.com account or linking it to an exisiting Fantasy account, we recommend getting in touch with their support team via https://www.nrl.com/contact-us. However, if you're having trouble remembering details of your old Fantasy account, we may be able to help you out.

Please let us know how you go with this advice, and again we sincerely apologise for the delay in getting back to you.
