Exaclty. plus come TLT PODs will soon turn into far more standard picks...Milchcow wrote:
Would you rather your POD was named in reserve grade so you can keep him to yourself?
Assuming its Tevita Pangai Junior, is everyone going to be comfortable with 2 broncos starting props?
I assume Kahu to wing and Isaako out of the team once Bird gets back, so the main question is will Isaako get enough games to be worth it?

cheers, bit more interesting than i thought it would be, might've had my eye on Pangai if i had any idea how long it will take from Bennett to greenlight FAC for the 80, and i imagine he'll be a popular trade-in when that happens.
McCullough from the bench is pretty good for fantasy.
Give him a few weeks to get back to full fitness, drop a bit of cash, and then get him in after a month after someone has made some good cash for you.
The unknown of how long Thaiday will be at hooker is the major case against Pangai

Macca could move to starting side and push Thaiday\TPJ to bench
yeh, i was referring to McCullough at the end, a few 60 minute games will probably knock him down in price... i imagine once he gets the start, Thaiday goes to prop and Pangai back to the bench - which is how they were played in the trials.

Expecting TPJ may make a strong case to hold the starting spot over Thaiday, once macca is starting.. (but Thaiday probably still gets the spot)

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 8
With Keary struggling with concussion, I had a peak at Mitch Cornish
4 games last year.
scores of 2, 3 and 6 for his 3 bench appearances with limited minutes.
Scored 35 in his only starting appearance, but that included 505 kick metres, something he won't get if he is playing with Cronk.
So I don't think he is any better than Lachlan Croker, in terms of fantasy prospects

a bit unrelated, but i keep ending up with Cronk in my team, i'm a bit bullish about it, because i got burned from starting with him last year, but i see no reason why he couldn't match Pearce's average with pretty much the exact same people around him, when they are the same style of player (Cronks obvious superiority aside)

No reason Thaiday goes to the bench and becomes a sort of utility.
Cover for hooker and the forwards. If a back goes down Glenn will shift to the centres and thaiday into the second row

I like Isaako because - even with Bird back - he's first reserve across the backline and Darius's hamstrings are fucked. Certainly would put him ahead of Kennnar in position 21.
TPJ is one of two players (the other NAS) who I've always thought would absolutely kill like Taumalolo at fantasy if they got the minutes. Hasn't been in any of my teams so far but going to be hard to resist as a starter.

Sorry Finchy, I was being saracastic.
Chatting within a league just seems to have disappeared, along with a whole bunch of other functionality from last year.
For some asinine reason they have started from scratch with the website, and lost a shitload of features from previous years that worked.

You can rule out Haas for 2018. If he does see time in first grade this year it will only be 1-2 games with very limited minutes.
Doueihi was the first bottom priced player selected in my squad and hasn't left my team all pre-season.

Might find it hard without injuries.
Expect bench to be:
Tauk/napa
Tetevano
Matterson
Radley
Would be close to next cab off the rank though

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 8
I heard lots of things about butcher/Flanagan/maghoulias/leauisao a few months back when fantasy had just started. Now I am hearing nothing about them
