I've had Niko for a month.  Mulvy posted stats last week and from memory when playing 80 he averaged 10 above his season of 37.3 at 47.  Don't quote me but was that right @mulvy ?  Niko's role is defined now so should be playing 80 week in week out so not cherry picking stats in any stretch of the imagination.

Yeah that was me, I'd had a few drinks at the time so I'll double check. I also said he'd scored a try six times in ten games and that I dont expect that to continue and that was why he's not in my team, but there's no reason he couldn't continue to do that well.

Moses' biggest disadvantage is his scores get wrecked by missed tackles, but he seems to be getting better. Hang on, which edge is he on? Would it be Ma'u or Taka? Watson doesn't kick, spine will take time to gel, and from the trial they kept going the other way with Ponga being much more dominant. I've already posted the downside to Niko which isn't much really - His average is diluted by bench starts but inflated by tries. Undervalued but I don't know by how much.

Kodi Nikorima from Milchy's sheets averaged 47.2 from ten games last year, ten above his average. It's worth noting that his three worst scores were 27,27,28 in games in which he didn't score a try. I'm not convinced.

True, but (yes I know small sample) Croft two worst scores from non-try scoring games were 46 and 41 much better than Niko's. Croft's Km's average was 246 vs Niko at halfback 112. Small sample though.

really only have the one - Thurston for me, i think he'll kill it in attack making up for lost time and was an immovable object in my team for the first few weeks, but once trials started, his defensive efforts scared me right off, he was heavily targeted and honestly looked scared to tackle anyone, i'm predicting a few Carter awards in his future.

    2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 8 - Page 12 Nikori10

In the games he played 80 minutes the average is correct as mentioned (47)
Though 4 games where he didn't score tries he scored 27,27,28,31 (rounds 8,23,24,25)
Milford by contrast scored 37,56,70,40 in the above games so look at how you want
In those games Milford ran the ball twice as much, 6 try assists compared to none for Niko which tells me he let Milford run the show.

Anyways in base stats he averaged 19 tackles and 80 run metres for the games he played 80 minutes (don't have his kick metres on me)

So under priced by at least a few points but are we sure  he can keep his try scoring at 1 every 2 games or all the attack won;t be run through Milford?

Beat me to it! similar conclusion though.

Article in the courier mail saying JT has said he is happy to take a back seat behind morgo and give him ownership of the team and become chief playmaker this year. That being said should I jump off the JT train??? Who should I pick up instead??

Seems like so long ago now but I watched that Sharks trial. Fifita's play the balls looked okay from memory, I was watching him like a hawk because he is in my team. They've possibly devoted half his training towards it! Shocked

I might just grab both then! I don't know who I favour now but that is the beauty of this forum Love . I would expect Niko's KMs to increase a fair bit as the designated halfback now.

Yep, haha, they have passed them off as updated. I think they just changed Carty's team and that was the extent of the "update"...

Only half!!! The big galoot will probably drop 5K in weight up Townsville Mulvy, so there is a positive in the first round.Watching him at the play the ball
in defence and attack does raise my blood pressure but he does rack up the points.

I personally think croft is going to be a killer, a demon in offense, he loves taking on the line. To think otherwise would be naive.

You would think so. But Milford's km's in those ten games were 174 vs 141 for the other ten games. Actually that's not a huge difference. Hmm. Given that IIRC the Bonzo's win record was really good in those games Niko played they probably had reduced km's all round if they were pumping the opposition. Yeah you would think Niko's km's go up. Again he's underpriced, just no idea by how much.

NFI really. Walker's dpp is nice and he shouldn't be sulking anymore after his contract extension (upgraded I assume, anyone know what the deal was?). And they are looking to play more expansive football by the look of the shield match. Or Townsend maybe with goal kicking, extra km's etc.
