I'm keen on AFB as well. He's a mini Taupau but he's not a noted big minute player. Plus he could end up on the bench when Lussick returns but maybe he's played so well he's made the starting position his own. If Ese'ese gets named at lock I still might get him.

Easy E has me intrigued too, but what's the go with Barnett? AFB is an awkward price but yeah, if the coach strictly doesn't want him as an impact player, I think he can keep the spot too.

Also, if Matersson jags a second row gig, I might jump on him.

AFB also is first in post contact metres re nrl.com but will he be able to match that as a starter when the match is a lot tighter.

Probably not, but I wouldn't expect him to.

If they keep their word & make the dpp changes then there's a few players that could change:
GI, Kikau, Nicholls, Takairangi, Taukeiaho, TPJ, Ese'ese, Tolman if lock, Munster if fb, J. Reynolds if named hooker but unlikely, H. Hunt if wing & there's probably more.

Team for this week has taken a massive change. No Smith (Forgive me for I have sinned), more depth in halves. But with every change, I raise more questions than I answer.

    Friend
    Papalil, Lodge
    Whitehead, Nas, RFM
    Cronk, Moses
    Croker, Taka
    Teddy, Ponga, Katoa

Licha, Cook, Carty and one of the following

    Nichols, LLeuila, Havili, Croker, Kennar

    *89K ITB

Im nervous about not having Smith. Could fund the upgrade fairly easily by dropping a hooker off the bench to someone like Mcqeen on TPJ or who ever is the flavour of the week in the mid tier category.

Can also upgrade Papa to Fifita, but Papa is a beast, Last year on his contract, probably going to leave raiders so will need to put in a strong year.

Whitehead, im starting to worry about, could possibly upgrade to McGuire, but for moral reasons I find it hard to (NRLs version of David (dumb dumb) Warner). DPP is nice though.

Cronk and Moses halves pairing? am I better off dropping one, moving Carty up and running someone like Liu on the bench? Im confident both Eels and Roosters will do well this year and think both halves will improves with a change in responsibilities.

I cant help but be nervous

It just the total of how many upvotes your posts have

Downvote button does nothing with regards to reputation (hence why some joker has downvoted your question)

I see Tevita Pangai Junior and Addin Fonua Blake as similar players and both players I have been looking at.
(Could even throw in NAS in this but I feel he has the most upside of these 3)
Both are big and break tackles,DPP, both may get more gametime due to injuries and have similar roles in their team.

    However TPJ is 40k cheaper

If you take AFB last year where you get rid of his sub 35 minute games and his one big 61 minute game you get an average of 40 minutes played from 13 games
This gets you 33 points so priced at 30 you would need him to get more than 45 minutes to make money from him (he has played 60 minutes once and probably due to injury)
Either that or improve on his game which is already a high PPM.

TPJ due his cheaper starting cost and slightly higher PPM makes more $$$ from less minutes and as these aren't keepers will make money faster with less risk

Another plug for the autofill league

Everyone starts with the same 21 players, see who can trade their way to victory

On KNik - I have him (after ditching Jrey). Last year I learned to favour the guys who seemed overly active and keen on the ball. Thats why Slater was a pick and stick from the start, and Will Hopoate was my biggest regret late in the season.

Knik always seems to have the energy at taking on a tired line. Be interesting to see if he keeps it up with the traditional half role, but I'll milk him for a bit.

Your avatar still freaks me out mate! I just have to let you know at least once a year.

    My team going into TLT.

    CS9
    JBrom Lodge
    Murray Merrin Jurbo
    Croft Cronk
    Leilua Kennar
    Turbo Mitchell Katoa

    Int
    Carty RFM Arrow C.Thompson

    EMG
    Havili Croker Isaako Kikau/Leilua/TLT

Pretty happy with my spread and potential. Bit shattered I got a 228K in my interchange but don't really want to downgrade anywhere else.

Didn't someone have a really strong opinion last year on the shortening of people names?

Replacing the First letter of first name with the First letter of last name. I.e Jurbo rather than Jturbo?

I remember the convo, but not who it involved.

Oates confirmed for wing. Milford will play halfback but will wear six. At training he's feeding scrums and first receiver.

But yes, the Niko pick isn't really for base stats. On the flipside, if Niko is playing wider theres potential for more involvement in backline moves, cheap offloads & tbs, etc.

This is a pretty nice team. Not sold on JBrom but can understand at the price people going with him. If he can return to form he'll be a bargin, might even look at him myself if I'm looking for a secure front rower. No Teddy though but Turbo should have a just a good a year. Not sold on Kennar in the starting team either, but not many other cheap options unless Milne gets a run.

I think it's going to be hard for everyone not to run a couple of 228K players in their squad and on the bench.

Yeah I wish I could have Teddy but me and my mate have a deal where he has Teddy but cant have CS9 and I have CS9 but cant have Teddy

Also thinking its up to Teddy or Turbo who gets the spot for the Blues, don't thing they will pick both and play one on the wing
