Also - who would you choose between Merrin and Whitehead (assuming both are selected at Lock)?

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 8
Would it be stupid to have both Kennar and Hiku in the 18-21? Or should I just go with one (Kennar probably) and take a punt on Havilli or some other 228k starter?

don't what it's worth or whether it been mentioned but i watched Broncos Insider last night where they had interviews with Kevvie and JD (assistant coaches), the latter said TPJ and Ofa would be getting increased minutes, and for something to keep in mind when it comes to downgrades later on, expected Gehamut Shibasaki would see time in first-grade this season.

Teddy, Ponga, Mitchell
Cook, RFM, Griffin, Rochow, Katoa, Kennar, Croker, Kikau

Kennar > Hiku because the money can be spent elsewhere or banked.
Merrin vs Whitehead. Looks like Whitehead will see the 80 so should consistently score 50 through high tackle counts, however Merrin will be more volatile due to higher attacking output but less minutes. I see them both at about the 50-52 average with merrin more likely to score between 38 and 65 but whitehead to hit 45-55 every week.

Nice team and very similar to mine at the moment.
I have Lichaa instead of Merrin, Inglis and CWalker instead of Teddy and Taka
Hoping we will see some more DPP's added this afternoon (Arrow/Inglis etc)

Going against the grain here but I'm not looking forward to the team lists haha. I think my head might explode if I need to absorb any more information or make decisions

Fair point and say Whitehead + Kennar gives you almost a spare 100k over the latter

Not overly excited about seeing Hiku in my centres. Just don't trust anyone priced lower.

I feel as though in a warriors team that won't see much scoring this year he really has no room for improvement. With the size and agility of players these days he will be outgunned and outmanned. Kennar who will be in a Rabbitohs side with a really good attacking prowess and a greater chance at snagging a meat pie or two every week is a better option and cheaper

Hiku averages 30 points at centre from 20 games

...and Leilua averaged 33 there last year. Sure, he's capable of much better, but he equally likely could suck just as much as last season. My point is, to save $200k, I'm prepared to take risks in the CTR position.

This is a bit of a joke team but what do you think of this:
Smith (C)
Lodge TPJ
Arrow RFM Rochow
CWalker Cartwright
Mitchell BJ
Tedesco Turbo Ponga
Cook Lichaa AFB Nicholls
4 x NPR from Havilli, Katoa, Leilua, Doueihi, McKendry, Kennar, Kikau, Croker, Thompson, Milne.

Point I was making was for the price Hiku isn't a bad option compared to Kennar as he has a track record of scoring 30 which isn't terrible compared to more of an unknown
DPP and 30% ownership on Hiku too so a very safe option

Knights twitter confirms Levi dropped.
(not based on form, but the 'balance of the team' apparently)

Whilst we're on about Hiku, I'm currently wrestling with:
TTurbo & Hiku vs Dufty & Jayne
Both sets have room to grow, with some decent potential scores. I'm a bit scared of running Jayne, because he's a lazy prick. But when he turns it on, and it sounds like he'll get some FB time, then he scores.

What's some stats on Winterstein?? Had a very injury effected year last year. Priced at 298 with a BE of 20. Surely he is worth a little more than that??

Would you go DCE or Turbo if given the choice?
I have this feeling Walker is going to start well again and at WFB means you don't need to find a half if Cartwright bombs (and go looking for a mid range half).
DCE doesn't have Green anymore so should get decent KM's again
Depending on cash for the above, could even turn AFB into Griffin. Nicholls should hopefully get DPP so would be your cover for FRF/2RF
Very funny team though......
