Think I will run Hiku in the starting centres given his high ownership and keep $275k in the bank
If he bombs for a couple weeks can always upgrade him and gives me time to see how Inglis/Hayne/Leilua/Mitchell are going

If he goes fine then that money can be used elsewhere.
Same decision making with who to pair with him, but will opt for Aubo and hope he can keep Matterson out.
Balances out the unreliability of Hiku and with Matterson/Radley on bench then you would think he doesn't get moved to CTR hahaha....... Why do i do this to myself (He ends up in my team every year)

    I'm finding it hard to let go of Murray. I dropped AFB for him but not sure if not running AFB is a mistake;

    Smith
    Lodge SST
    Merrin RFM Whitehead
    Croft Carty
    Mitchell Kennar
    Teddy Katoa Ponga

    Cook Arrow Griffin Murray

    Havilli Nicholls Croker Isaako

Murray vs AFB really. I think Arrow is good for the price. If I go AFB than Hiku will come in for Kennar I'd say.

Dunno but if he was I would strongly consider swapping him with Tedesco and running him at WFB

he has lost 10kgs in pre season apparently so maybe he's pulled himself together a little bit. I doubt it lasts. I'm not overly confident of having him in my side but I'm unable to find much better for the same price.

MY thoughts on including him, good opening draw, new season hopefully start with the right attitude. Only needs to keep it together for 4-6rds score well, then ill upgrade him and enjoy the down hill spiral from there.

I will probably go with Godinet as a bit of a unknown POD... low risk as he'll be in my 18-21 section... hopefully he'll make some cash.

hmm i could actually get a wfb.. have the funds to get someone like Mbye (but means there is no cash.. left in the kitty. tempting actually...

bit of extra room to move if i need a half cover too.

before anyone says Dufty - I'm just not that keen on him (probably be proven wrong)

One thing in his favour is Austin being dropped to the bench. Hopefully Williams knows how to pass.

Hiku for me is the least shit option for CTR. Unless youre confident you've got 2 strong CTRs, you may as well get the cheapest, highest ownership % CTR with job security and use the money to strengthen elsewhere. He either scores well, or, buys time to find a better option.

    So far I'm going with

    Smith
    JBrom Lodge
    Merrin Harris Whitehead
    Croft Cartwright
    GI Hayne
    Ponga Tedesco Katoa

    Cook, RFM, Rochow, Kikau

    Nicholls, McKendry, Croker, Kennar

Seems pretty standard with a lot of the other teams posted on here.

Just weighing between JBrom or SST .... or possibly downgrading to NAS and upgrading Hayne to BJ and having some Cap left over.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Thinking they will do the same as a few clubs like the raiders and Knights looking at the team lists (J Reynolds + Sezer)

Play Godinet at hooker, Benji comes on and Reynolds moves to Hooker to rest him.
Play Havili at hooker, Austin comes on and Sezer moves to Hooker to rest him.
Play Griffin at hooker, Lamb comes on and Watson moves to Hooker to rest him.

    Seems to be the trend

At least you know they will make plenty of tackles in the first 25-30 minutes with them potentially playing 50-60 and the half coming on late to shake the game up while cover injury
Gambles but that is the game

I have a similar though as you with the Kennar to Hiku upgrade

10 games off the bench for the Warriors in 2013
Averaged 20 points in 30 minutes. Averaged 34 in games where he got at least 40 minutes.

Worth a punt if you fancy his job security.

Liddle to come back from injury soon.

Was he the main hooker last year?

Yep so you may only get a couple of games out of him. Meant to be back rounds 2-3
Reminds me of Garvey when he was only meant to get a couple games but ended up making a mint.
Depends on how the tigers go really and when they want to rush Liddle back.

Let's say Kikau keeps his starting spot, who makes more money in first, say, 8 rounds, him or Havili?

If I had the cash to upgrade now to Hiku I probably would and keep Murray but would need to downgrade to find 50 odd K somewhere.

Reading around some more I have seen one mention Liddle to return rounds 3-4 and the less obvious one 'indefinite' which translates to no idea.

Havili I would think would get more time but these players are all dice rolls really
