Every year Warriors fans think things have changed when they win a couple of games. Ain't no way they make the 8.

I've been lurking the forum since R1 TLT and just want to say a general thanks for all the great contributions / advice you guys offer.
Best of luck for the rest of the season!
With only 1k ITB my trade options are limited so it's -
Croft > Doughy
Nicholls > C Thompson
Going for the cash this week!

I don't think you should be doing this trade, it makes sense based on averages etc, but it seems like a luxury trade. Mitchell could score 60 this week, RTS 40 then you will be 20 points down. Admittedly could also be vice versa
I think Latrell scored over 60 twice last season and the way he's playing looks more likely to score 30 with goal kicks.

That's a throwaway comment that doesn't address any of that improvements mentioned

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 18
With Croft to Doueihi and keeping Katoa, I can afford to upgrade James Graham to basically any player (any position)
Who should I grab?
Season keeper gun is who I'm after who won't be getting cheaper any time soon
Taupau/Merrin/JTrbo/DCE/SJ
Who is best trade in

Without looking at byes, I've had a soft spot for Taupau.
In order of preference I would go
Taupau, JTurbo, SJ, DCE, Merrin

Good trades as Croft is underperforming and losing money and Doui is making money
Nicholls on the way out and Thompson is a good pick up, especially if he can hit another 50+

J turbo SJ or DCE
I'd bring in DCE for POD, SJ to be ahead of the curve or JTurbo if no other viable vc in team

I like Taupau. Damn it. With FRF needing strengthening do I do Mitchell>Taupau instead of RTS

Thanks for saying thanks and not just making your first post "Hey this is my team what trades should I make?"
I made those two exact trades, so did another poster here (WhiteLightning) so we are all in the same waka.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 18
It doesn't need to. The improvements are based on two performances against poor teams not the years of them showing great form for a couple of weeks at a time against poor teams. I'll happily eat my words if they make the 8 but I'll wait to see them against quality opposition before believing that they've changed.Loomer wrote:

It's not like they've beaten the Roosters and Storm

Give it another week (or two)
You would have to think with Tupou out now the halves wont be bombing to Tupou so he can score, should go through the hands more.

To be fair, we've only ever won our first two games twice before in 2007 and 2009.
We've never won our first three in a row.
Maybe there's something in it, maybe there isn't.
I'm not convinced but its certainly a nice change to how we start most seasons.

Why did Taupau play so few minutes last game? Because they were cruising? 6 TB 5 OL in 36 mins just Wow

Yep, I believe my team is quite similar to WhiteLightning's (bulldog avatar?). These trades give me a buffer of 166k and open up my trading potential for next week (probably someone to Murray).
