What does the rest of your squad look like Milchy?

I got a few hours to kill and happy to throw a few ideas out...

Without looking at your squad I really like SJ, don't think that anyone would argue with him but that depends on where you are with other positions.

You would have to think with Tupou out now the halves wont be bombing to Tupou so he can score, should go through the hands more.

I just feel the need to generate as much cash as soon as possible or get short priced keepers this season more than before so I can make moves to likes of Murray Taupau soon. After Croft>Doueihi I have 370k which means following above strategy on low BEs Mitchell to Thompson(cash + ladder to gun keeper) or RTS (keeper)

Anyone interested in Crichton on the Panthers' wing? 218k, B/E of 15, 4-6 weeks of job security.... which doesn't sound great. But a good finisher against a poor Doggies outfit might be interesting.

I made those two exact trades, so did another poster here (WhiteLightning) so we are all in the same waka.

Thanks for saying thanks for saying thanks rather than just saying "Hey this is my team what trades should I make?"

I've gone from saying all week, I don't need to make trades blah blah, build cash etc etc.

Some how I've now gone Carty >murray, Havili > JMK.

Leaves me $0 in the bank and forcing me to play Douhi in halves.

Whilst punting cartwright for Murray seems fair enough. I have a lot of weakness in other areas of my team i.e playing Hiku and Isaako.

Anyone else think these trades are a bit short sighted?

Manly used 15 players in round 1. 17 players in round 2, the extra 2 players were both props.
Plus it was hot and they had the game won early.

Taupau's inconsistency does worry me. He does have some low weeks in him

Personally mate, yeah. Murray is definitely an improvement but Carty ain't going backwards currently. Everyone is happy to hold onto Havili, especially if you have more pressing issues like you mentioned.

I'm not sure about short-sighted, but Havili is still making (slow) money, and mini-Benj is very much an uncertain sob-security prospect - and maybe even more so given CNT's attacking woes. YMMV, but a 16 b/e means even if JMK is an awesome cow, he should still be really reachable next week (particularly given Havili's -1 b/e).

Selling Havili and Carty with -1 and 8 seems nuts. +60k combined if they match their last 3 avg which is pretty achievable

Reckon ill give it a week. I wont lose money on any of the players I have that are 'issues' this week. Given most of them are neg BE. If they score well, im laughing and will hold further, if they don't ill consider doing those trades then. Assuming Murray doesn't go up 50k+

    Who is best trade in

I like Macca with 80 mins. Best gun option and likely to gain 50-100k from here. Even if you have Cook and CS9 I think he's the best "gun" value play.

After that I see Cleary and SJ as the 2 gun keeper halves so I'd stay away from DCE even though he probably perfectly fits your brief (next guy behind these 2 in the HLF spot who wont lose money)

Not too worried about the FRF as guys like Vaughn and Fifita will bottom out in a few weeks. Plus guys like Lodge, Arrow, Rochow, NAS are all playing well enough that the difference isn't large.

Same thoughts in the 2RF too really. Not convinced that Merrin, Whitehead who are on the up are final 17 players. JTurbo, Brown and the like aren't going anywhere quickly and guys like Murray, Griffin, Arrow and RFM are doing well enough there as well.

WFB are a bit volatile if your definition is that you don't want to lose money anytime soon so I'll stay out of that area.

Final choice is probably more dependent on your team makeup. In your case downgrading Croft if you don't want to have super weak halves I'd suggest Cleary then SJ. Feel these guys will have a bit of cash to lose though when they get the eventual 35-40 point game though after a strong start (basically buying at their high). Thats why on your criteria I'd go an 80 minute Macca who will be more consistent and has some money in him before he settles down.

    TLDR: Macca

Best of luck for the rest of the season!
With only 1k ITB my trade options are limited so it's -
    Croft > Doughy
    Nicholls > C Thompson
Going for the cash this week!

Welcome mate. Get involved & have a good time. As you are probably aware we have a good vibe on here with a great bunch of fellas & Hannah who is the diamond in the rough. I'm doing those trades as well although I'm worried about my cheap halves.

Right, team for this week will be...

    Smith (c)
    Kikau Lodge
    Jurbo Brown Murray
    DCE Carty
    Mitchell Isaako
    Tedesco (v) Ponga Thompson

    Cook Griffin RFM Doueihi

    Croker Godinet Kennar Nicholls

I guess the only decisions are whether to play Isaako or Kennar and who to have as fourth interchange. Also tempted to put Carty in the emergencies to play Croker...

MTB gave me a handy tip in regards to his website (nrlfantasy.com.au) yesterday:

    On the BE page

"If you type "FRF" or "2RF" in the search bar it will show you players with those positions only.

Im going to add buttons to show/hide by position but i havent gotten to it yet"

    A+

Thoughts on trading in Jai Arrow? Is wallace coming back going to affect his fantasy scores?

Or is it worth going for another mid ranger?
