Now it'll be for a half. I don't know whether it should be SJ, DCE or Mathieson (manly cause it'll be a big cash grab)

I'm of the same opinion - Smith looks inconvenienced and because it's the Storm we'll likely never find out what it is.

Ive already got SJ and DCE though, so I'll probably take Friend or Macca (Friends Rd 13 coverage is tempting)

At the end of the day i get it, we cant relent this time, as its time for change. For sure. Its just looking like a rocky road in getting there. Hope we dont damage what we have.

As I said, I have no problem, but they MUST keep it going now.

Maybe the Yvonne Sampson rumors are true, Smithy got a bit more on his mind than footy these days? Laughing

I don't know if I will trade him out, it's Smith, but how disinterested he has looked the last two weeks is really concerning. It's like he's done it all, almost like he has nothing more to play for. Maybe just looking towards his 400 games or something. i don't know.

I'd really like to know more about his injury. That would have a lot to do with it right there. I wish they'd just say something.

The problem is you get people being negative about it, particularly in the media, which applies pressure to the Refs and the NRL, and they give in, again. If we supported the Refs as a game for once then it might stand a chance of lasting.

If they do crumble then we'll all be blaming them this time next month for allowing all the shit cuntery to happen again.

I'm just watching the cricket. Saw two maidens in a row. Faster pace than the game tonight. I agree theyre cracking down on ill disciplined players and so they should, but the fans shouldn't have to suffer the players and teams do. Come up with something that'll keep the game pace fast and the refs can blow the hell out of the whistle all they like

In the long run it will create a faster paced and smoother game IF the refs don't crumble in the meantime. That is exactly what they are trying to achieve. It's a bit of pain now but for a good cause. To be honest I haven't actually minded it as a spectacle personally.

I couldn't watch the whole game-did NuBrown get hooked after his shit start or was Lichaa to Lock for 10 minutes during NuBrown's stint and then back to Hooker because of the injuries? Lichaa did go to Lock for a bit right?

Sorry mate I guess I'm just impatient on the whole thing. I'm going to time one of the games tomorrow and find out how much actual footy we get in 80mins

Im enjoying it. Players arent getting away with bullshit anymore. It wont take long, one or two more weeks, and we will have a much cleaner game. Players been pushing the boundaries for years because they KNEW the refs wouldnt keep blowing the whistle. Seems that time is over. All i hope is the refs aka NRL stick to their guns.

This actually takes pressure OFF the refs. They are finally able to just blow penalties for what are, penalties! Without trying to consider how many theyve already blown or what the count is or whether the other team is due an even up or all that bullshit

The first teams to pull their fuckin heads in will benefit

I'm surprised they played Fualalo at centre rather than JMK going back to fullback and playing Nu Brown at half. I didn't watch it either but to play him only 7mins when your fullback and lock has gone down is a little strange

Australian sports fans yesterday: cheating is the worst thing ever and all cheaters should be dealt with harsh penalties.

Australian sports fans tonight: ahh let em cheat occasionally, I'm sick of them being penalised for it.

I saw the first 5 minutes of NuBrown's stint and he was horrid. I ducked out for 5 minutes to do some work and when I came back Lichaa was back at dummy half and NuBrown off. Looking at the minutes Lichaa played 80 so I'm assuming he went to Lock.

Yeah, that's it, they don't look pressured, they are just calling it how it's meant to be called. And for Bellamy to apparently acknowledge it was him and his team's fault with what I've heard (I haven't watched the Presser) is a massive win in my eyes for the NRL.
