Katoa broke his jaw in his NRL debut but eyeing an early comeback according to his coach.

“He’s recovering from a broken jaw,” Flanagan told the Market Watch podcast.

“He’s probably two or three weeks away at the moment he’s probably around Round 7 or 8.

“We’ll see where the teams at and Sione is at.

“He’s definitely an exciting talent and first grade winger. He can break tackles and finish tries off, he just needs to get his fair share of games and I’m sure he’ll get them this year.”

“We’re really looking forward to getting him back. Whether he needs a couple of games in second grade or comes back straight in, time will tell.”

Who do you think he will replace in first grade?

Assuming Dugan at fullback, he won't replace Holmes as a winger. Would have to take Feki's spot and not sure that will happen.

Dugan will only play half of the games anyway

Townsend scored 58 & Brooks scored 77 in the weekend. Brooks this year is a different player & he really took it to the Storm defensive line on Saturday & was very successful. Is anyone keen on a punt on Brooks.

Not sure myself if he comes straight back in but from the sounds the coach likes him and thinks he will definitely be back into the team when he is ready. I think it will be worth it to sell him and then maybe bring him back in when he is named for a cash out

I am feeling 85% Croker is due a rest sooner rather than later. 2 or 3 HIA affected weekends in a row, played the ball the wrong way on the weekend lol! If hastings gets a run he could be a nice pickup

The biggest issue I have with either of them at this stage is their Price Tags. Both are priced around 40ppg, so and I'm not confident on them being keepers at this stage.

Thoughts on RFM>JFH? Banks 94k and JFH looks like keeping that lock spot with money to make

I've got RFM down to avg around 45, he still has about 75k to make in my books.
JFH will probably avg around 50 and has about 250k to make.

Not a bad trade in my books if you don't have another player you can trade out

JFH's last two scores do seem to suggest he's a keeper or close to it at lock, with those plus 50 points almost entirely in base stats with a few offloads. I'm personally going RFM > JFH this week. Seems good.

    RFM > JFH
    Katoa > Hastings (Priced at 17.8, BE 16, AVG 19.5)/Gosiewski (Priced at 17.6, BE 14, AVG 22)

    150K ITB

Hastings could potentially be a replacement for Croker if he is dropped and Gossy got some big minutes yesterday. Not too sure if this was planned or possibly because Taupau injured his foot during the middle third of the game.

    Thoughts???

I agree regarding Hastings that he has looked good out there in the short stints but it is time he got the starting gig.
Perhaps having to earn his way back into the NRL has grounded him a bit and made him a better player, bulked up a little too.
Would be a great pickup at his price (Even if it does effect DCE)

    RFM > JFH
    Isaako > Cotric

I like this for my team too. Would give me JFH who is set for some CASH Drug and then would give me a pretty set and forget CTR line of Mitchell and Cotric with Kennar has back up for now

Would give me Aitken and Cotric, leaves Hiku and Kennar as backup.

Although one could argue that Hiku is a set and forget CTR with the Warriors in this form.

Would fix my halves issue, but means playing Thompson until he can be upgraded in a week or two.

Griffin>JFH like others too. Should've listened to you all last week lol

Honey Badger wrote:If you need to strengthen your halves then go for it. Dufty has been a handy player but struggles to get involved enough to b a keeper.

Do you have cash to get DCE of SJ rather than Mbye?

Already have DCE, could afford anyone except SJ. Mbye and Matterson seem the next most consistent, although Matterson's minutes change by the week. Want to trade out Doughey but it might have to wait a week.

Otherwise I'm left with JMK/Croker/Doughey to go with DCE.

    My lot looks like:
    Cook
    Arrow Lodge
    RFM Murray Harris
    DCE JMK
    Hiku Mitchell
    Teddy Ponga Dufty

    C.Smith Griffin Rochow Kikau
    Thompson Kennar Doughey Croker

Ive been burnt one too many times with Griffin team fucking around to risk a trade with JFH despite how on fire he is at the moment. Im content with the team i have at the moment:

    CS9
    Kikau Arrow
    RFM Jurbo Murray
    DCE JMK
    Kennar Hiku
    Dufty Teddy Ponga

    Cook Lodge TPJ Rochow
    Thompson Havali Isaako Croker

Im just keeping an eye out for Katoa to be renamed and i'll downgrade Thompson/Dufty to upgrade JMK/Croker to Matterson/Mbye or even SJ if budget reaches. Have 100k ITB so very possible

How confident is everyone on JFH retaining lock position. I must admit I am skeptical.

Slightly more confident than RFM scoring much above 40 which he's about priced at
