Was it the Smith wobble that shook things up?

I'm not sure what point I'm trying to make here - just something I noticed. Perhaps we're in that window where we slowly diverge then come back together when final 17s start to land.

Its great that we get a few more perspectives and options being thrown up. Not so great that I'm spending sooo much time reading everything and spreadsheeting the sheet out of it Very Happy

I think that generally the changes in teams is related to the changes in positions people find themselves in. Those sitting pretty, can pursue much more conservative options. Those looking to make up ground have to be a bit more risky.

The Smith debacle of 2018 was just the flash point, people had the opportunity to have money in the bank to make trades.

    That's my read.

How did Peats get injured? I missed that over the weekend.

Rein very appealing if he's starting hooker this week. Even a 60minute Rein should make good cash.

    Griffin > SJ
    Rochow > Gos

    Griffin > Matterson
    Kennar > Gos

    Thoughts?

he has the same problem as Lodge. rib cartilage. basically a pain issue. he's been ruled out this week but should play next week.

I’ve had some painful injuries in my time as a person and footy player but the good ole rib cartilage takes the cake. Wowza

Macca owners a bit worried by Bird training 5/8? Niko would probably get 15-20 mins at hooker off the bench (where he's actually been the most dangerous).

That might have a positive flow on effect for Sua - eg 80 min edge. If two subs are used on the hooker it may mean bennett has to rethink his forward rotations a little.

Extremely. Especially with a breakeven of 69.
Will have to be quick to sell if his price plummets, and then he will probably go back to 80 mins once I do.

Any Sharks fans here can give us a low down on their 3 debutants?

At least Macca trades straight into anyone in the game at this point. Obviously not ideal, but if he does become a sell then he's a straight swap into Smith/SJ/DCE/Turbo/Whoever gives the most benefit.

Although ideally you'd want him playing 80 all year.

From my team these look like the trade outs at this stage -
    Doueihi
    Kennar
    Rochow
    TPJ
Max 570k to move kennar - Max 703k to move Rochow/TPJ
Doueihi out for goisk is most likely one trade.

finding info on injuries is always difficult mate, but at least everyone on this forum keeps an eye on things and posts updates in here when found. Makes this forum a good place to find info.

Question with rein is, does he play 80 or does simpkins fill in for 25-30 mins or so. Gotta assume simpkins is on the bench this week.

If no simpkins on the bench I'd take a gamble on rein

when we had that revolving door of 4 halves last year, he played 80 in every single game save for the one he got injured in, usually when he was relieved as hooker he just moved to Lock.

General thanks for the great forum all. Good info here. haven’t posted too much here yet, but looking for some help with my centres. Had Gagai from day one but he’s just got to go. I’m going to need some cash in future weeks too, so that is a strong consideration.

Is it worth going all in with L.Mitchell, or is E.Marsters also a decent option as a goal kicking centre? Though his average numbers are pretty weak overall.

Or, what I’m actually thinking at the moment is J.Leilia. Slow start, but good avg over last three games, and a great price which leaves me a decent bank balance. Is he likely to keep these numbers up and be a worthwhile option?

I did have L.Croker from day one but punted him pretty quick... don’t think I want to go back.

    Any other good cheaper options?
