I could probably get away with making no trades this week but being the trade whore that I am it probably won't happen.

Edwards season ending injury & Mansour will be out for a long time so that could work. He's that guy who was at the Bulldogs isn't he. From memory he seemed to be a good player as well.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2018 Thread Part 37
Thinking of just making the one trade this week and banking the other.
Gosi > Cogger
gives me 22(1) trades remaining and 153K itb. Too many uncertainties about all other trades this week.

scored a hatrick in his first game back from a pec injury on the weekend. Could go alright because Crichton kinda stinks.White Lightning wrote:

I'm struggling to find downside to Gosi>Aubo for 10k more. He's basically priced at his CTR floor of 24 and base stats last 2 of 28.5

The downside is he is priced only just below his CTR average. And when Tupou comes back into first grade Aubbs will be back to scoring 10 points off the bench

I think Tigers are set for a big downslide. Meaning Marsters stats will go with them too. They have Warriors, Cows, Panthers, Bulldogs and Roosters. 3 maybe 4 of those games will be very tough. If they can string a couple losses together (well they already have but a couple more) heads will go down, confidence will be gone. I think they will be 3L and 2W next 5 weeks.
A) Picking players based off fixture strength is one of the worst moves that you could have done this year.
B) Marsters averaged 38 at centre last year when the Tigers were at best equal in quality to this year's strength.
C) If Lolohea gets back into first grade, he will be goal kicker. Nofoaluma responded to being dropped to reserves by being a bit crap when he got back into first grade. I wouldn't be too surprised to see Lolo at 1 and Thompson at 2 in a few weeks time.

@hymenbustas Remember to factor in that D Walker won't be kicking goals though which he was in 2016.
For mine, buy the gun centres if you've already upgraded everywhere else.

Blake due back next week. You could take a punt and hope he retains his spot but I don't see it lasting past this week.luckynumber8 wrote:Is anyone looking at Tyrone Phillips as a cashout? Will he hold his spot with no Mansour and Edwards?

I am just trying to steer myself away from him. Don't want to spend that much on a CTR just yet until the gun CTR's for the year are definitely clear.

Yes but Tupou still not due back until 13-15 according to main site which is exactly when I would be moving Aubo on after Rd 13

Cap'n Ranta wrote:I know with Dugan going down and Hiku, Isaako and Kennar all peaked we are throwing CTRs around but can someone explain the Ramien trade to me?
He's at $457k currently. (priced at a 30 ish average)
The best centres are around 600k so we are effectively banking on him becoming a keeper or to make enough cash for the trade (which he'd need to be a keeper to get)?
I must admit I haven't seen the lad a lot but:
- He makes around 15 tackles and 100m per game. Base of 25.
- Misses just under two tackles a game and makes slightly over 1 error. New base of 19.
- Attacking stats aren't huge in his first 3 games but have been great in the last two games. Probably too soon to know which is the anomaly.
- Is his spot secure? Know with Dugan from CTR to FB it opened a spot but can a helpful Sharks supporter tell me if he's got that CTR spot secured?
Just not seeing where all the love for the guy is coming from. I'd personally rather trust injury reports and play Capewell @ 338k as a cheap CTR for 3 weeks, 1 dud week (Lewis/Gallen returns) and 1 origin week. He's cheaper, has a better floor short term at least and is available at CTR. I'm waiting for team confirmation before pulling the trigger on this though.
At least with Marsters he has the goalkicking providing a solid floor (for now with Lolohea out) and while he might only make 10 tackles and run for 120m the attacking stats on the guy are huge (multiple TBs (3/game and Offloads 3/game). He does have more MTs and Errors in him too but I can see a boom bust CTR potential with the guy and his bust games should be okay while he's kicking goals.
I know Marsters isn't cheap and other keeper possibilities like Croker, Cotric, Fergo, Roberts, Gagai, Aitken and Latrell may break your bank but I'd look at any of them as well as cheaper guys like Aubbs, Bird, C.Scott, D.Walker, Capewell and even keeping Isaako/Hiku over trading Ramien in. Just keep seeing his name this week and wondering what I'm missing (other than two good CTR scores)? Just feels like its too late to take a punt on him.
TLDR: Got multiple guys I'd rather at CTR over Ramien. Why the love?
Dunno mate, he looks like a great footballer in the making though and good to watch, so maybe people are voting with their feet?
