I'm looking at this exact same combo. Already pulled the trigger on Gosie > Cogger. I'm finding it harder to commit to the second trade.

Lane is a decent shot to be playing 80. Barrett plays 80 minute edge players a lot.

And often leaves 1 or 2 players on the bench the whole game

I'd most likely get lane in if I could do it in one trade but I can't so I'm taking a punt on Fonua. Will need the cash from kennar to upgrade the likes of BBQ, Rein etc soon

    I'm going

    Croker -> Capewell
    and
    Kennar -> Cogger

Croker is last game of the rd so can afford to wait and see if Capewell starts before I lock him in. Unfortunately with Hiku and Isaako I can't play him in the CTRs or the trade reverse won't work.

If he's not starting I'll likely bring in Lane instead. I'd love to grab all of them this week but just cant and think Lane may be the best choice to have to wait a week.

Brought in JAC this week for poor ole Dedwards, have 23 (1) trades and 262k itb.
Really sure Doohey comes into the mix at some point this year, but he may be the best to go to Cogger. Prepared to see how Hampton goes until/if he continues to score well and not lose all the cash he gained. Love playing Fusitua although only averaging 30 overall, content to patch up elsewhere over fiddling with trades in the centres - biggest lesson learnt from the past.
Couple of my middies could become anyone with the 262k, but most a little early to bail, seemingly.

Any insight or glaring omissions ??

Tough one, I think I'd have another week to look at Lolo-game against the Titans he would have been lucky to get 45 without the try. Cows aren't putting a lot of points on this year.

Agree with not fiddling your centres. Mitchell is fine and Fus has big weeks in him occasionally too.

My only advice would be is that your bench seem very upper mid-range (i.e. no true Guns) and EMG looks like it won't generate a lot of cash (Katoa, Doueihi - jury is out on Camp Graham but he doesn't have a job for long does he?). Might make future upgrades a bit tight / affect the strength of your 17.

I'd go Hampton to Cogger. Should score similar (~30-35) but Cogger keeps the cash going whereas Hampton surely doesn't have a lot more in him. 3 weeks at 35 = -5k for Hampton and 113k for Cogger. Feels like an easy swap for me and builds more bank. Leaves a true gun upgrade as an option for next week or the likes of Katoa can go to Lane.

Edit: Meant to add if you've kept Doueihi this long you may as well keep hoping for his chance to come again and you have other areas that could use the trades for better value. AT least Doueihi has good prospects when he gets his time again.

As Milchy has said, Lane was looking like becoming an awesome footballer a few years ago. He was hit and miss last year and at a quick glance his base stats output seems to deteriorate over longer spells. Smallish sample this year though.  I love watching him so he is on the cusp of getting a run in my trousers.

430k starting second rower; can play 80; excellent mid term job security; loves a meaty.  I actually think I might watch Lolo for another week and maybe sneak Lane in now Very Happy

As far as comparing outputs with Haas, I think the chances Haas averages more then Lane all things being equal are quite slim with the minutes he looks like getting.

Lane started 7 times in the back row last year, averaged 42 points from 74mins which would give him a price of approx 630K
Stats wise he averaged roughly 34 tackles (3 missed) 1.5 tackle breaks and about 80m

I owned him last year and he can be a little frustrating to watch at times, but has big potential and perhaps this is his year.
Seeing him this year he looks to have improved a bit more and has that big score in him though with Manly he may have the odd small score to balance it out
For the price you are paying for him though he is worth a gamble if you want someone to fill in your 17 for a while.

I promised myself I'd start using my bank to bring in Guns as I'm dropping ranks very quick. Then a shiny 'new' thing like Lane who I love as a player comes along again and disrupts my train of thought, haha. Cheers Booze. I had him last year as well. He had a great try strike rate at the Dogs, and only one try in that 7 game average last year. I think he is a great risk.

I have locked in Dufty to Ted, because fuck Dufty.
I might fuck Croker off Lane as second trade.

Man I feel insane at the idea of holding Dugan and Brown this week. Isaako and Gosiewski are both trades as well. So I am dumping them. Then the main difference being I don't get Fifita this week...

Then next week.. I mean it's only two more weeks for Brown and Dugan potentially.

Well I get Latrell this week to cover Dugan's spot. (Hiku is my other CTR, and if I trade Dugan he would become Latrell anyway.)

Then for Brown I have JMK, but can loophole to Sorenson if he has a poor game. But then next week I would try and get Fifita with my other trade outs.

So if you are running Latrell anyway then really it is a case of JMK vs Fifita
JMK probably scores anywhere from 30-50 points at hooker and Fifita his average is the best guide = 53 points though could smash a 60 out
So it may cost you anywhere from a few points up to 30 to hold them (Excluding 2 dead spots on the bench)
    Though saves you 2 trades

Tough one Random, I would probably sell both though really depends on what your 18-21 look like
In saying that I seem to get my injured players who I trade out coming back like Wolverine so probably the last one for advice here

    My bench consists of

    Cook, Maloney, Havili, JMK.

Would Thompson/Gossie (both outside 17) > Lane/Cogger be a good set of trades?
    Leaves a bank of 260k

Why do I feel it's a bit sideways?
