Would Thompson/Gossie (both outside 17) > Lane/Cogger be a good set of trades?
    Leaves a bank of 260k

Why do I feel it's a bit sideways?

Well break down the 2 trades
Say Gossie to Cogger is basically moving from a dead cow to a fresh one
Thompson to Lane isn't giving you much spare cash and you aren't playing him in your 17 either. = Depth + some cash

So is that why you have that feeling? Have you tried standing up and looking at it?

Maybe I just feel like it's trading for tradings sake.

As bad as Gosi was for piling up fantasy negatives in missed tackles, he game film wasn't doing too bad, flying out the line heaping pressure and letting the players around up mop, he caught Ponga twice on his hop and go which impressed me all with a broken mit!

Had a shocker against Eels on a defensive read when norman waltzed through, but I haven't seen too much bad in him after I re-watched the games

Lane has been around a while and has never quite cracked the starting line up consistently So he is likely to only have that role or part of it until Gosi is back, is Gosi having it operated on? If not I reckon he could be back sooner rather than later, what was original diagnosis? 4 weeks?

Does Lane have the engine for 80?

You have the pairings wrong, need to look at it as Gos > Lane. Gos should be back round 13 and be the starter, with money still to be made. Lane trade in looks like a waste

Started 7 times last year for essentially 80 minute games (1 game was 70 minutes)

Well with all the Lane hatred would it be better to trade him to Cogger and just bank some cash and better scores ( don't think Gos scored over 30 the whole time I owned him)

Let's assume he comes back round 13 and goes straight back into the starting lineup and scores his 31 average for 3 weeks.
He makes an additional 60k over these 3 weeks bringing him up to just over 400k.
At this stage he has been in your squad for almost 8 weeks, made you 60k and given it's now round 18 (after the manly bye) you probably can't be bothered to trade him out for 120k profit.

But you stubbornly get your 150k profit..... eventually
I see where you are coming from though, but this is all guess work and the only thing we know for sure is his hand is broken and won't be playing for a while

Saying that, if you want to keep him that's cool, but the longer the season goes the less cash you need as the upgrades to players have less effect (a 5 pt upgrade for 8 weeks only gives you 40 points all up)

Rabbitohs Head of Performance Paul Devlin confirmed Kennar will be sidelined with a lower leg injury for up to a month.
“The good news, if it can be perceived like that, he’s probably going to be out for three to four weeks with a small ligament injury,” Deviln told the club website.

ST hates fanhub with a passion. I mean, no one was really a fan of them after their first season, where things were even worse than this years schmozzle. But ST has sworn them off forever.

I think the killer blow was that he put the usual effort into organizing the sportal leagues, and then for some stupid reason they didn't get included in the league rankings.

Have to admit it's a bit frustrating that we put all the effort into setting up leagues this year, and they don't even have league rankings at all.

ST has given up even dreamteam this year though. Think he's having a tough time with his CFS.

    Hey all

I found this forum before the start of this season and have been a lurker ever since. With the help of the forum, I'm currently sitting at 120 overall.

Little about me...I'm an American that lives in Portugal but spent a summer down under and fell in love w/ NRL.

I hope to begin contributing to the forum, as much as an American can. Haha. I'd appreciate a little advice for this week if anyone would be so willing

    (C)ook
    Fifi Kikau
    RFM Arrow Murray
    BBQ DCE
    Hiku Isaako
    Teddy Ponga Thompson

    Griffin
    Cam
    Rein
    NBrown

    Su'a
    JMK
    Sorenson
    Dugan

    Option A: Dugan>Walker/Ramien & Brown>Lolo
    Option B: Dugan>Walker/Ramien, next week Brown>Surgess
    Option C: Nothing this week
    Option D: Any other option

    Thanks all!

    Edit: 65 ITB & 23 trades left

Is there any other sport that makes coaches name a team days out from the game?

People talk about the NFL system, but it's hardly the same thing when essentially every player plays every game, and who is named to 'start' is irrevelant.

Anyone interested in Josh Jackson playing lock? He has fallen to $642k, BE of 29. Probably wait and watch a week but could easily be a cut price gun
