StormTrooper96 wrote:My question made it onto LS's Q&A
What is AJ Brimson's job security? He is been killing in QCup but word is so is Elgey. Other options are Campbell Graham or Mahe Fonua? Thoughts?
From Matthew Julien
Yeah, the risk for Brimson is the presence of Kane Elgey in the Titans squad, plus the fact Brimson hasn't played a game in the NRL yet. There's no real way of knowing how he'll go until he's in action, and he's got a tough game first up against the reigning premiers in front of a big crowd in the first of a double-header at Suncorp Stadium. I'd take a look at how he performs this week and weigh up whether to trade him in next week.
Graham and Fonua both have the risk factors of being wingers – they've both scored well so far but there's always the risk of a single-digit score – so Rhyse Martin is a better cash cow option now if you haven't got him already. Brock Lamb's another one to keep an eye on assuming he'll take on the bulk of the kick metres at Newcastle and he's got $250,000 to make back if he can match last year's scores.

In regards Arrow, I know you've read it in here a thousand times, but you get at most 2 scores from him in the next 4 rounds. That is best case scenario. You may get no scores (my gut feel is he is back next week though) in the next month. You may get 2 injury ravaged scores which fucks your Overall position and also makes the gulf between Arrow and said other guns larger.
This. I'm getting rid of him. He can come back once he has proven his fitness and not playing origin.

There is apparently training footage of Roberts on the left.
I'm honestly surprised its taken this long. I thought in pre-season it would be best for Roberts to move to left, with Bird on right.

I might go Arrow to Taumalolo as my second trade and keep Maloney this week for his last hurrah. Penrith should score well against the Knights.
Have the trades I beleive to bring back Arrow when he's fit and firing.

Yeah but just hesitant with which gun to bring in of them.. have Lolo. Fifi the Gallen factor, Surgess injury and suspension looming, Taupau dip in form history... fussy ?

The cash gain over Lolo/Fifi would be tempting. But Origin costs a score and the Cows need to score more for Hess (just hopefully not tonight in God's country).

Is RFM going to be in your final FRF/2RF setup. You ideally want Fifi, Taupau, Lolo, Hess, Arrow as your starting 5, backed up by Surgess, maybe Kikau as higher upside than RFM and still on the rise currently so not a trade out, Manners will be a trade in when he bottoms out too as a keeper to finish strong as a round 17 player, Gallen will bottom out and start playing big minutes again, Brown will be an option leading into 13. To me RFM is expendable to get these top tier guns in now, without trading Arrow out to do it.

As a Bronx fan, I sure hope so. Might take a while to gel though, Roberts seems to struggle with timing his runs. Obviously great at creating something out of nothing. If Milf starts running the ball and Roberts is sniffing around, could see some exciting footy.
Or we could just get served up typical broncos rabble.

Right, my trades are locked in. Relieved!
It gives me a week to look at Lamb and the 'Surgess situation' for a decision on those next week.
Finally at the point where I can start confidently banking trades. Whether I do it or not is the question.......
Welcome aboard Mr Taumalolo.

I've gone Arrow to Tolo too. Also keeping Maloney for at least 1 more week. That gives AReyn 1 more chance to break before I bring him in.
Other trade is doing my head in-finally looking to Round 13 and wondering just to go the compete opposite way this year: from a completely bye-centric Fantasy player to not even worrying about them.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 40
Martin a must have for cash generation? Thinking about Fifita from Arrow, but I can always sit on that for a week and bring in Martin. He needs 3 weeks at least really, with Jackson, Woods and Klemmer in origin frame he could get some decent game time in the next few months.
I can't see Fifita rising too much next week. I'd also have the cash to jump from Rein/Maloney to him also while keeping Arrow, and bring in RTS next week for Thompson.
So,
Murray -> ARey (POD, and I need a half)
Nicholl's -> Martin
Then all going well next week;
Maloney/Rein -> Fifita
Thomspon -> RTS
Thoughts?

Think its a bit of a risk.
Might only get 2 weeks out of him before Lewis and Graham are both back.

The only way I can get Tolo without punting Arrow is by going JMK to Martin and RFM to Tolo,would this be wise though?

I hear ya mate on the potential top 18; but I would be quite happy with RFM as 17th or 18th man averaging 50.
