Not taking the gamble on Lolo this week looks to have paid off. Still want him in my team before rd13 but just couldn't make it happen this week. He'll be great in the long run but glad I shied this week at least

I had the C on Cook until 7 p.m. Greedily thought Lolo was more podish and Cook may not get too much leeway with that Dragon's pack. He will get lots of tackles though, good luck mate.

Versing the Dragons is why I'm not convinced. Just hope for 50 tackles at least haha.

Should be safe Wolfy, gonna hafta defend a lot. The other thing that may work in his favour is if the bunnies can keep it marginally close he'll be good for running around the Dragons big boys late in the piece

Yeah cheers should be sweet mate. Still think Smith will bounce back with a bigger one though.

Sigh, Tolo. Got the worst end of the Smith/Fif/Cook/Tolo captaincy roulette. After Smith underwhelming last week and Cook the week before.

I'm going to take Fonua's 45 over Martin this week. Looked beastly in Ctr-if they keep feeding him the ball. Got a bit quiet in the second half with using too much Lawrence.
Just realised that if Fonua stays there (on merit) he should be DPP'd in time for rd 13.
Handy indeed.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 41
That was diabolical. We were so bad. Happy enough with bringing in Lolo, he has been awesome. As bad as we were, and as much as Thurston is fucking my fantasy team, to say he is shit and played a year too long is complete rubbish. In real life he has been adequate, trying his guts out and yep not at 100% but still better than most. It's not his fault that we made 15 errors, five of them O'Neil's. It's not his fault our right edge defence was cut to pieces. It's not his fault that we were trying to win with clutch plays every play for the last fucking twenty minutes without earning it.
I love TMM but's he's not a bench utility. On one set , three bad dummy-half passes followed by a knock-on. Will be a great 5/8 I reckon but not a hooker's asshole, but we don't really have anyone else with Chud injured again and Hampton going good at centre. And Hampton needs to stay at centre because otherwise we have to keep ONeil who NEEDS to be dropped. Do it Greeny, do it. Give Tuala a run!
I'm not convinced by the Hess on the edge and Lowe in the middle thing either but haven't figured out a solution to that, and have to end my rant and go to bed.

This is simply awesome @Verbal Kint , coming first and going with your gut still. I pulled up stumps with my eccentric captains when i got in the top 100 and started to go all boring with Cam. JFH was searching for that try last week, and was so close so many times, I reckon he grabs one this week. I was tossing up JFH and TPJ this week for the C but ended up going on boring old cam as he "usually" goes ok after a shit score plus playing titans although an early shower could also be on the cards.Verbal Kint wrote:JFH captain

Completely agree on everything you said.
O'Neil was AWFUL. Morgan was shite aswell. He was all over the shop in defence and he is normally such a great defender with his reads and contact, looks majorly low on confidence.
TMM is not a utility, I'd rather them just leave a gassed granny out there.
And with Hess and Lowe, I don't get it. Lowe has to play 60-80 for me. Start him on an edge and then bring Hess on after 20 minutes and move Lowe to the middle. What is the point in having a big engine like Lowe playing 28 minutes like he did today.
But yeah that 2nd half was so so so bad.

Yep, can see both sides of the argument but you've gotta do what you've gotta do. I was 50/50 on bringing in Fifita last week and nearly didn't.

Hess was devastating every time he actually got the ball with any space. They just keep using him as the dummy runner instead of giving him the ball early to do what he does better than anyone else in the comp.

Hess has been great with 80 minutes. 49 tackles, 1 missed today, on the edge. Very rarely misses tackles, huge motor, always gets back fast for the next play.
Just not getting the ball that he needs to really impact in attack. Give him 10+ hit ups a game and he will go huge. Wasted at the moment.

Obvious leaps forward in his game this year and nothing to stop him getting even better. One dimensional last year which was probably just what he was used to being able to do coming up through grade.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 41
I always think people overreact to how bad their Fantasy players too early in games but here I was last night having a cry about Marsters being bad and I wake up this morning and he did well. I will shut the fuck up during games now haha.
