Never posted my team before but now everyone can see it pretty easily I might as well.

    Cook
    Fifita Arrow
    Taumalolo Jurbo Crichton
    ARey Matterson
    Mitchell Marsters
    Tedesco Ponga Mbye

    Smith Taupau JFH Martin
    Fonua JMK GJennings Gosie

Gives me 10 for this week, pre trades.

Am 74 points ahead of 2nd.

Just looking to see what others would do this week in my position.

You're doing well enough not to take our advice, but the only obvious thing I can see is switching JFH to Surgess and banking some trades. You could also cashout JMK if it lets you turns Gosie/Gennings into McInnis next week.

My heartfelt advice is not to do any trades.

Allows other players to catch up with you and make it a level playing field. Wink

Not actually a level playing field as we would burn our trades to get there while you have trades up your sleeves.

That is a truly beautiful team and one I wish my team could be. I wouldn't say you need to make trades, but Rhinoo's advice is really sound. Being able to cash out JMK, and JFH. S. Burgess has definitely bothered out, and grabbing someone like McInnes for Rd 17 is strong. Just be wary of his Origin potential.

i would try to field 12. i reckon thats about average for the round. i went jmk to tmm and jfh to surgess which would be very common trades this week

I really like it, but don't get hung up on the bye rounds too much. Round 17 is going to lay waste to many. Many will struggle to field 5-6 players that round.

I am not sold on Friend magically returning to form, I would say that trading him in is definitely a risk at this stage until he pumps out a big score. Last week he got a TA and a LBA. He has only gotten a TA one other time this season, and the LBA is his first. Add to that him missing 1 tackle instead of his average of 4 tackles per game. Meant he got a higher score. If he were to hit 60 points this week, you would have more concrete proof and it would only cost you $37k. I would pick another gun. Especially with so much damn money in the bank.

Taupau would be a great option, Matterson as well and it fixes your halves. I actually really like the idea of Matterson for your team and you can move him to the 2RF if you decide to grab Cleary. Hell turn JFH into Taupau as well, sure it eats up your cash but really stacks your side for this bye round and gives you 3 certain keepers in your team and a long term prospect in Fonua. Then you can look at other cheapies next week. (You also don't have many trades so you want to get to your final team soon and TMM/Friend might not fit the picture.

Cheers for the feedback! I did look at Matterson and he is very enticing.. has a rather larger BE which will drop his price a bit in the coming rounds assuming he scores his avg. I suppose it doesn't really matter that much being a keeper. He does suit my team nicely. I might go ahead with Dugan, Fonua and him and have a think about the TMM situation. Thanks again for the thorough feedback mate!

Somehow you got a Roosters style salary cap at the start of the year I see.

Thanks @rhinoceroo and @Random and others.

It looks like I'm leaning towards the obvious solutions for the week that everyone is mentioning.
But some dumb evil sabotaging part of me wants to go crazy and trade out Cook and go wild because I've been playing the safe, sensible game all year. It's obviously working but doing dumb shit is more fun.

Ha, don't be scared. I only asked what you would do, not what I should do. Totally different! But thanks. I still don't know what I'm doing up there.

Well you've got a bonza attitude to go with that bonza team. Coming into rd13 and u look setup to ping in the straight.
Did u start with Gennings or bring him in ?

I'd go with this mate, start turning your R13 bums into guys playing R17 then over the next few weeks

    Gos-Olive
    Jennings - Brimson

    SJ
    Mcinnes

    in before 17

    that sort of thinking

I brought Gennings in after his first game. Has been a surprising good cow, I never expected him to hang around as long as he did or make anywhere near as much cash as he has. Hope he can score well again this week and go out on a high.

Yep, that's definitely all in the future plans. SJ, McInnes and probably Harris are the only round 17 players I like (+ maybe TPJ if he miraculously stays in his current role), with the help of guys like Brimson etc. My team's gonna suck in round 17 so hopefully I'm 1000 points ahead by then so it doesn't matter Razz

Was it milchow that originally said Cook would be a must have in Hok this year?

I wouldnt have even looked at him that hard butfor that post. I don't think i could bring myself to trade him.

Trading out CS9 was a big mistake Sad
